Nahar's father has a mistress whose daughter is Pia. The mistress when dying hands over Pia to the father. When Nahar's mom finds out she commits suicide and therefore its decided to send Pia to hostel. Nahar being very close to the mother remembers her everyday. She dies in white saree considering herself widow on her husbands deeds therefore Nahar hates white.

Also why would they hide from Saloni. In this one Nahar is not connected any way. The secret has something to do with a woman in Naahr's life. I think may be Saloni's look alike.
