Memory-Loss ' An after-effect of Meningitis

The story was Nahar was suffering from Meningitis. However, Varun was giving him medicine to make him ill. The medicine was affecting him simulating the symptoms of Meningitis that is fainting, weakness, un-controllable rage, migraines and paralysis.

One of the after effects most likely to be caused by meningitis:

Memory loss / difficulty retaining information / lack of concentration

Memory problems

Memory problems are a common result of brain damage, because many parts of the brain are concerned with storing and processing different kinds of information. The effect of memory loss can vary. Many people experience short-term memory loss, or find it hard to concentrate following meningitis.

Nahar was given medicine for at least one month before his disappearance ' Did the medicine have an after effect?

SP often used ironies in its story-line

We had Saloni adopting her own child not knowing its her daughter, eventually given her to another woman.
She now has her daughter living as the servant's daughter in her own home. While she has a low-caste daughter as her daughter. Her own child has a low-caste mother.
Is it possible she has brought Nahar home believing he's another man (Amrit)?
The story focuses on the moral dilemmas that Saloni is faced with. Is it possible now she will be faced with falling in love with her own husband believing he's another man? Tortured with betraying the husband she promised to stay faithful to, staying faithful to his memory while remaining a widow..

Well meningitis will not teach Nahar prayers and the way to be a sadhu. plus he wont recover in a couple of days and look so perfect just because the medicines have been taken away.
If creatives try to show that Amrit is Nahar , that would be stupid!
