Toasty needs to maintain patience and not rush into things.. When Pashu told her what reminds him of Malti around the house.. that scence was heart wrenching and still Toasty is adamant in bringing back Malti.. well her intentions might be good but she understand the pain of Pashu, Babuji, Ved and dadaji. First they need to come out of it (though dont know if they will ever at least babuji and dadaji, ved). May be if dadaji starts walking again then the pain would lessen a bit as it would help them to move on with their pain and look beyond. Pashu seems to be in two minds.. Malti thoughts hurts him very badly but as the same time I feel he has some soft corner for Malti. It will entirely depend upon how his family especially the three mentioned above feels about Malti as this point of time cos those three were affected badly cos of her behaviour and actions. So Toasty really needs to chill down on this thought process of getting Malti back and try to understand their pain and heal it if she can in any way.

And yes Toasty is irritating now with her behaviour especially her silly smile whenever she is with Pashu or Malti and while talking to them ref is of their partner.

agree...she is too smug...starting to act like pratigya gulaal,,,...the ms know it all and we are right and just tow the line...our way or the highway...why are the cvs killing her independent nature...
even her mom, and i once agreed with sudha, said...that she is asking for trouble...cute way of fighting for independence and the similiarity, all flashbacks show that malti did housework but would complain about it and messing up floors...and if she comes, being the oldest sis in law, what if she does not help and toasty is still doing it all plus taking her nasty attitude...
malti mom has not left is going to create trouble and unless they kill the character or send her back...this is a wasted effort.

I agree. Im not supporting her either. I agree with all that you said..really i mean.. all that and toasty needs to stop butting in! I hate when the heroines of shows butt in to EVERYTHING...its not their bussiness and they still butt in and end up getting in trouble..like what the hecks the point! Plus its pashu's decision if he wants to stay with malti its HIS choice. I mean, he is the one that has to spend his life with her...not TOASTY. Plus, he isnt a little kid that doesnt understand what he is doing..he still loves her thats obvious..he just doesnt want history to repeat itself.. and he needs to begin to trust her at HIS own pace not toasty's pace. So i agree i dont support toasty at all. I see where she is coming from, she wants him to be happy..but really pashus should decide where his happiness lies..not toasty... and if he doesnt want to listen..then screw it toasty..why the heck you wasting your time...
thats how i feel
I mean i would LOVE to see Malti back..i think she has changed..but i want for PASHU to bring her back..NOT TOASTY.

they dont have another story line BUT LETS ALL THINK if this was the other way around and malti as a woman was told to accept pashu back what would her reaction or any other woman reaction be "YES". a wife can forgive all that has happened to her and go back with her husband so why not a man this time, yes i know it will take time for each one to heal but this time it will be maltis turn to do the hard work and that will be a new track with toasty supporting her.

I have a feeling this is Toasty's revenge on Pashu. When she was thrown out of the house, it was Pashu who was driving everyone and wouldn't listen to anything she had to say. Now Toasty is doing the same thing to him.

It was heart wrenching to watch Ved's confusion and insecurities today. The stigma of being branded a molester has still not gone from his mind, he's simple soul who was dragged through hell all for Malti's stubbornness.

I've wanted to slap Toasty all this week. She is deaf to reason and logic. Has anyone read Jane Austen's Emma? I was just re-reading it last week, and Toasty's attitude reminded me of the obtuseness of Emma. Both the girls are so taken in by their know-t-all matchmaking schemes and wreak such havoc in everyone's life.

I completely agree...Malti's done so much to that house and those wounds are such that are much too hard to heal...Toasty's zidd has been irritating me too lately and she's basically been brainwashing Tej whenever he tries to knock some sense into her and sadly Tej keeps falling into her words...I think part of that is because he's a bit self conscious now about going against Toasty with everything that has happened but at the same time he doesn't want her to get into trouble because of what she's trying to do so he keeps having to go back and forth.

Toasty's heart is in the right place and her intentions are good but I don't think she understands the depth of the wounds and damage that Malti has left behind...and she's not doing the right thing by kind of forcing everyone into this...she's being a little too stubborn.

And you're absolutely right about it being a bit hypocritical...when everyone came to get her, she wanted Tej to be the one to bring her home only if he wanted her back home...and when Pashu doesn't want Malti back home, she's obstinate about having them meet and make up...when everyone was trying to force her to talk things out with Tej, wasn't she the one that refused to and left? I feel like she's looking at it from just one angle and at only the small picture but isn't considering all the other factors and the larger horizon involved...

Tasha,

Let's assume that the roles are reversed. Would you recommend that a woman go back to her husband who used to:

1. Mentally and emotionally abuse her throughout the day (Malti did that all the time)
2. Used to insult her family members (again typical Malti behavior)
3. Tried to molest the younger sister (rape allegations against Ved)
4. caused so much trauma to the wife's father that he had a stroke. (Chedi)
5. Framed his wife's brothers in false criminal cases (Chedi and Pashu)
6. Tortured the Wife's grandparents to such an extent that they became an invalid (Dadaji)
7. Not content with all this, the man goes further to malign the reputation of the wife so that she is branded as an immoral woman and has to flee the city overnight (The sifting of the shop)
8. To add insult to injury, the man now demands a huge sum of money to grant the wife a divorce.

One fine day, such a paragon of virtue turns up at your doorstep telling you that he's changed man now, and has seen the error of his ways. He needs your help to get his wife back. As a woman, what would you recommend that the wife should do?

its not healthy for the family in any shape or form.

Personally, I never really supported her
I find her character sweet but annoying as hell
Her constant banter about house work is a woman's duty is so annoying, stupid and doesnt suit someone as educated as her
I dunno, the only character relationship i like is between toastys sister and tejs brother..that is cute...she calls him that funny name
