Hey Fate is strange, and one of my Champion potential Mr. Faraz Butt is now in Sanjivani. Wrong song choice has landed him in trouble. Hope he comes back strongly again. Was just not his day.😕

^^ I agree with you. It just wasn't his day. Felt bad because Faraz is a talented singer. His bulla ki jaana main kaun is still stuck in my head! But as you said, hope he comes back strongly too😊

31 July he sang "main jahan rahu". I liked it but not the Mentors. Original sung by 2 singers, but I guess KK does not know this. It was a huge gamble.

@ Summer
He could have picked up another song like bulla ki jana and gone ahead...
Here I am a bit confused about the format, there are contestants who are singing in one genre and getting away, this may not be Ok but has become acceptable. With Himesh rushing to stage to support Mussarat when he sang saanwere (NFAK) and say now you will sing in this genre only just to score against Asha ji as she was dismissive of Mussarat as one genre singer in one of the earlier episodes, I don't expect much.

I haven't seen Faraz in Middle East SRGM but he I have doubts that he is another limited genre sufi singer I hope I am proven wrong, I didn't see him doing any thin with classical or ghazal style. As long as he was in Punjabi style sufi singing he was OK, may be he could have used a song to demonstrate his range on lower side, display his ability for light music etc.
Recently I saw Raja Hassan singing E Zindagi (Sadma) and Mussarrat singin Abhijeet's song in another program and I was surprised to see that they were struggling, this is why they must be tested in diff genre.

Yes it is a bit muddled up. Faraz has yet to prove himself and his song selection on the first day was what caused the problem. He was unlucky to be in Sajivani. Hope he does not let wrong decisions and over-confidence get the better of him.
SRGMP has always harped on versatality, a Jack all Trades that can sing a bit of everything. Game rules changes when Public voting comes in to add to the confusion.
Yes I saw Muss and Raja being given low marks for some comedy songs.
I think the technique of Sufi singing and light-hearted singing is all different ( also for slow and fast numbers etc). They should learn and prepare for all this before coming to the competition.

Congrats Faraz, now he is not eliminated. so the Champion Horse is back. Adeshji must be so Happy !!!!!!!!!!!!!! In sufi and ghazals he is really very good. He had gotten into trouble with the "Main Jahan Hoon" song; the original being sung by 2 singers. Still it is a win for me too.
