I agree with u totally on the above point,Manikji.All kids are within the specified age group and shld be treated at par...As for Sonu's decisions,I also feel that he is a li'l biased at times.He is a little extra favourable towards some candicates and not so favourable towards others.In the not so favourable category' come Tanmay and some others.

I feel that it was quite rude of him to imitate Smita like that..It was in bad taste..His comments were ok.Vaishali deserved an A+,but then so did Tanmay,i guess.......I remember Sonuji once saying that the best way in which a song can be sung(tough/easy) is 100/100(or A+)....and the person's performance will be compared with that....He has,to date,never mentioned that a person choosing a simple song will be at a disadvantage.So by that logic,Tanmay shld get A+.

Now having sad this,I wld also like to give the other perspective.Sonuji may be slightly biased,but it is very mild.Most judges ,whom I have seen,of any music show(except Sureshji) are highly biased.....They harp abt their fav candidates and intentionally put down others.Sonuji is waaaay above them.He points out mistakes pretty well and mostly does a very good job(ignoring small things)......As for the grade to Tanmay,I personally believe that a person choosing s diffclt song shld be given some advantage over a person choosing an easy one.In my personal belief Tanmay's grade was ok...but if Sonuji is going to use this policy for easy vs tough songs,then he shld use it consistently and not do so at random to certain candidates (Eg he gave A+ to vaishali for 'o papad wale' which is simpler than chali chali!!!)

ok here i am again with some more points.

1) mind blowing mahiya is not as easy as you think. (even though the lyrics are really dumb and i personally hate that song). it has a much wider range than chali chali and much larger jumps between notes.

2) why would he favour vaishali? have you guys forgot that she was eliminated by these same two judges before? if they favoured her so much then she would have never been eliminated.

3) he has nothing against tanmay. "yeh har gaane ko nibha jaata hai".."tumne gaane ke saath poora insaaf kiya". are these comments that someone gives to a person they dislike? he's even picked up the kid in his arms before. where do you guys come up with such ideas??

that was many episodes ago. at that stage he did not penalize anyone for easy songs. now since they have been in the competition for a longer time, it is natural for the judges to get more strict. it is expected that the kids choose harder songs in the later episodes of the competition. tanmay came near the end, after many kids had done a good job of singing harder songs, so its just not fair to give him the same grade for an easier song.

u may have a point here...If so,I hope he continues this trend of differentiating between easy & tough songs.......And yes...mind blowing mehiya certainly has more juming notes than chali chali 😊

i'm glad someone agrees with me here. 😊 and i really agree with the stuff you said about sonuji and sureshji being above all other judges 😃 wahi baat main yahaan kabse keh rahi hoon. these judges are amazing compared to what we have been tolerating for the past few seasons of this show. lekin yahaan inki bhi har choti choti baat ke liye log shikayat karte hain. 😕

this topic is stupid and pointless. The man has been singing since he was three; hosted a lot of shows, and have judged another reality show that has given us abhijeet sawant, and antara mitra; I would think twice before challenging his decision and even comments. He's not an angel and yet reserves the right to be upset if he doesn't get good performance. If he keeps encouraging the kids, they would never understand the complexity of the situation that can be produced and can lead to their elimination. And I m sure some of these people will still be whining saying that sonu didn't do anything; since he was here to "cleanse" the show..
So whoever is trying to find faults in sonu nigam, I would advise him/her a good night sleep, and maybe a hot shower.. 😊

I do not agree that Vaishali's "Mind blowing mahiya " was an easy song nor do i agree that Tanmay's "Chali chai .." was an easy song either.

Sonuji is an expert, so any song might look easy to him. Or is it that "Chali Chai " was not originally rendered by a professional singer ? I am not sure, but the singer seems to be Amitabh Bacchan.

I am of the opinion that judges should not comment by saying that "so and so was an easy song..". They should either ban such songs from the competition or publish the list of easy songs and corresponding weightages.

It was sung by sudesh bhosle...he sounds familiar to amitabh bachchan^^
