Glamour, huge sets or esteemed judges

What would you select for SRGMP, whether challenge or Little champs or any other ......

Huge sets, glamour, film promotions, drama and public voting

Or simple singing show on not so glamorous sets, normal clothes and Esteemed judges being called to select winner😊

I would love to have esteemed judges judging the show and not public.

Drama, film promotion, etc. a total no, no, but I would not mind a glamorous stage and designer outfits with moderate makeup instead of nromal clothes.

but then they have to recover this costs too.... if u need glamour involved..... because without public voting the TRPs and advertisement revenue will surely plunge..... also the people involved in such shows are surely rated higher on payscale now considering the success of shows, so it will cost to retain the staff, which they may lose to other rival shows if they cut payscales😊

They had all that in the old SRGMP format. It produced some good singers too, but it is only now that some of them are getting opportunities.

The fact that such a concept could not keep the interest of the viewers (yes, only genuine music lovers watched, and that too the grown ups. Kids,teenagers,mostly shied away from the show. The overwhemling response that SRGMP got was after it started following the new format.

I would always like a blend of both, but can do without personal dramas, melodramas. and love stories.Thery can instead have some masti spoofs if that is required to get votes.

I think it is a myth that the earlier SRGMP winners were not succeeding so much but the new format SRGMP winners are doing very well.

In fact, the new crop of winners are mostly going to do stage shows or become TV anchors. Yes, they have already sung for some MDs but these are just for show (to create excitement and increase TRPs) - I am not sure how many offers they will get on a sustained basis. (First of all, half the MDs are busy judging or mentoring so where are they getting time to compose?)

Shankar Mahadevan did not find Shafqat Amanat in a reality show. Kay Kay, I am sure did not come up through a talent show. AR Rahman keeps getting new singers to sing from various sources.

Most winners are destined to go into oblivion, except for a handful, and no one knows the formula.

Yes, SRGMP has succeeded in popularising music by trivilising it. Parents are taking kids to music teachers and saying "Please isko music sikhaayiye. Ek din hum isko Saregama me bhejenge" and the poor music teachers are struggling to train kids who are motivated by glitz and glamour not the love of music!

I would prefer Huge sets, glamour, film promotions, drama, and Esteemed judges.

I personally wld lke to see the old format of SRGM come back fully with just gr8 singers, gr8music,esteemded judges,no drama and no voting.But this may not make business sense and may not generate revenue.That will in tturn lead to the show being wound up.I don't want that to happen.So a good mix is ok.
I'd say they cld have good sets,reasonable glamour,film promotions(we can tolerate that),minimal/no drama and esteemed judges...if reqd to improve TRP they can have 50% public voting or some such thing.
