I have a feeling that Sonam Kapoor would be a success as she is very cute a nd charming in a very innocent kind of way.

However, watching the promos I feel that Ranbir will bomb. He is too stiff, jumps like a monkey (no offence), expressions are like too much like Shammi Kapoor, and is highly arrogant.

Saawariya's music is too situational for regular listening. I liked the title track the best - it is more original sounding and reminds me of the Monty who gave us the haunting melodies of Black.

Many of the songs are similar to ID's style of composition, but didn't have the same appeal. Picturization will be ESSENTIAL for the music's success.

Why do Richa Sharma's opening alaaps for "Saawariya" and "Jag soona soona lage" (OSO) sound so similar? 😕

I bought Saawariya's CD as soon as it was availble in the local shops here. I was not too thrilled to listen to it overall. I will post the details later. The songs seems like situational and I am not sure if I would enjoy listening to them again and again.

I personally think ID is much more creative and talented composer than Monty and ID would have done phenomenal job if he was offered this film. The songs of HDDCS and Devdas are far more appealing to me than Saawariya'songs.

I will give Saawariya only 6.5/10 against 8.5 or 9.0/10 to HDDCS/Devdas.

Highly underwhelming...OSO is better... I think OSO will top the charts longer than Saawariya.. 😛

Has anybody heard the tracks of No Smoking? The MD is Vishal Bhardwaaj (Omkara MD) and the songs are very similar to those in Omkara. Even the singers are same. I liked the album in the first listening. 😃

When Monty did the background music of Devdas and BlackBlack we shot with stock music and wondered how Monty would equal the work of great composers that I used to shoot my scenes with. But Monty stunned us. He lived up to every expectation." The praise for Monty's worth came from the highest quarters. "Amitji with his powerful sense of music called Monty a genius. Monty comes from a family of great musicians. He's Pyarelal-ji's nephew and was trained by Pyarelal-ji's father who has trained half the musicians in the industry. One can expect a totally unique music score in Saawariya. "It isn't anything like the music in Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam or Devdas. I just hope people like what we're attempting here. After A R Rahman, I think Monty is the only complete music composer."

Tks for the info. The music and songs are really good. nice melodious and romantic feeling it does provide. Beside Ranbir and Sonam looks so nice and looks really in love. Ranbir also has a naughty look in his eyes. I LIKE RANBIR AND SONAM BOTH. THE MOVIE SHOULD BE HIT.

ALSO SONGS OF LAGA CHUNRI ARE GOOD. STORY IS ALSO GOOD BUT WOMEN ORIENTED STORIES TAKES TIME TO BE APPRECIATED.

I lub lub loveeeeeeeeee this movies muzic.....Especially yoon shabnami saawariya aah aah and jab se tere naina....it is just sooo calm n and the title track is just awesome...
Guys listen to it the second time....u may need time to like these but I lubed them in my first hearing......i like this album much better than OSO....

Trust me Live_life... Im still addicted to OsO songs but im already sickof Sawaariya songs (after 2 days!!!!).. ithe only song I can listen to is the tittle song the rest iwill listren to them again when I watch the movie!! 😆
