for all the people complaining about zee tv not allowing SMSes from pakistan

Please note that Zee TV is officially banned by Pakistan
So there is no way Zee TV can accept votes SMS votes from Pakistan bacuse it cannot deal with telecom companies in Pakistan due to being a banned channel
That is the only reason why SRGMP had to use Pakistani mentors to select candidates from Pakistan because Indian singers/music directors /actors are not allowed in Pakistan
The only way Pakistanis can and do vote is by Internet voting which is allowed

So please do not blame Zee TV In fact inspite of being banned they are still allowing Pakistanis to participate
If you want to blame anybody blame the Pakistani govt which bans all Indian channels

New Delhi --- Pakistan has recently banned 35 entertainment channels, a majority of which are Indian, including Sony and Star.

Indian news channels had been blanked out ever since Kargil war. The latest provocation was that local channels were found broadcasting cricket matches through South African channels instead of Ten Sports that has the exclusive rights to broadcast international cricket matches in Pakistan.

The ban was prompted by a complaint from the Pakistan Cricket Board to the country's media regulator, Pemra, and comes on the eve of Indo-Pak test series.

According to Pakistani media, the banned channels include AXN, National Geographic, Reality, Set Max, Sony, Sahara One, Balle Balle, ETC, Channel One, Now, MM, MM2, M NET, Series, Action, Super Sports 1, Super Sports 2, Super Sports 3, Super Sports 4, Super Sports 5, Super Sports 6, Fashion TV International, Zee TV, Zee Cinema, Zee Music, Zee Sports, Zee News, Zee Smile, STAR Ustav, STAR Care, STAR Gold, B4U Movies, B4U Music and E-Entertainment.

Officials said that Ten Sports decided to pull out of its agreement with the PCB as the bulk of the cable operators in the country continue to show matches from various South African channels instead of Ten Sports.

In response cable operators went on a day's strike that ended on December 24 and announced their support to Pemra. Pakistan is not the only neighbour to ban Indian channels.

Bangladesh banned Indian satellite channels in 2002 to resist the adverse impact of an "alien society." These included HBO, Star Movies, MTV, Channel V, AXN, MGM and Hallmark, amongst others.

But a three day strike by cable operators forced the government to revoke the ban.

still i think if thats the excuse the why bring contestants from pakistan at all? just ignore them..

if you want to do something and claim moral high ground then do it all the way..dont hang in the middle. we want the contestants because we are soo good but we dont want to count their votes. this is utter nonsense

Lol. I actually think Zee is attempting to be more open-minded than folks that believe this way.

In order to ease tensions between neighboring countries, steps need to be taken; sacrifices need to be made.

The wimpy thing to do is to back out of an unfinished task. Once you start, there ain't no stop.

Can you provide the source of the article and the date it was written?

Edit: Nevermind, thanks.

I will look into it.

Zee is not banned at this time

It is just very expensive for cable operators to get it and show it. They show sony and other channels. My friend just returned from Pakistan and she saw many indian channels .
The satellite dish people are seeing all the chanels without problems . it is mainly the cable operators.
