OK, my last post on this... still have to recover from a sore body after all that action...😆 Replies in blue.
Can't you see that it is all showmanship on HR's part? How do you know that only HR remembered Bappi?
It may be showmanship, it may be anything...but how does that matter. taking the ashirvaad of elders is a norm we all follow. If that is shown on TV, then what can be wrong with it..
I mean, what if other mentors had already asked their contestants to take Bappi's blessings in private before the show?Well if they had already done that then why did Vishal suddenly wake up and remember Raja and Amanat .If it was already taken privately, then was there a need to take again? or was he also trying to join the showman bandwagon?
The point is that HR wants to show off each and every little gesture he makes in front of the public eye. Let him do that, no problem, but with taste.
What was so distasteful about HR saying Aneek, before you start, go seek the blessings of elders? Is something wrong in that? He was talking to his protege and he had the right to advise what he wanted to. The rest of the gurus all had their time and then they said what they wanted to. So why is it wrong if Himesh does it with his contestant ? Yeah he has forgotten to add the other two names which vishal then did, problem solved,Then nwhy are we discussing it?
He is an elder for all the contestants. It looks very strange when he says "Aneek, go and take blessings from Bappida". It looks appropriate when he says "I would like all the participants to take blessings from Bappida".When Vishal tells Raja that go perform your best, does he say Raja,Aneek and Amanat go perform your best ? he has been asked to advice something to his participant so he did.
I can bet if Himesh had said, Amanat, Raja and Aneek go take Bappida's blessings, you all would have come back with "who is Himesh to dictate terms to others".
See, for showmanship or otherwise, whatever may be the reason, the thought or gesture behind it was laudable. Bappida also felt happy that he was rememebered. It may have been for publicity , but who cares, it was the thought that mattered which is of interest here.
There are moments when a mentor's "badappan" or the lack of it come to the fore. Like when Vishal-Shekhar went to the stage for all 3 contestants and danced (in the episode when they came late). It clearly showed they wished well for all the contestants. Saying it is one thing but showing it "genuinely" to use a hackneyed phrase is another thing. Each one has his own style.Himesh has his style, most of which we don't agree with. But do we really have to dissect each and every step of his and put it under the microscope and then crucify him?
In Vinit's case in C-2005, HR went on and on about his sanskaar was very good, so people should vote for him, indicating that other contestants' sanskaar was not up to the mark. Last night he said something about Aneek being the youngest and therefore he should be the winner. Did ID or VS advance any such logic last night? They just came, enjoyed and went. They can look beyond a contest.Again it is individual's choice of words or expressions. There is no rule in the world that says all have to behave in the similar fashion. He talks too much, hogs the stage and limelight.May be he knows how to do it and others don't know.may be others dont want to do it. We cant expect all to behave as per our expectation. But because he is HR, he does get scrutinised more deeply than others do.
Anyway, I guess we can agree to disagree here. Something that looks out of place to me might not, to you.True agree totally and vice versa too.😆
