What should our voting be based on at this stage - a performers previous performances or that current week's performance which may or may not have been the best....

Excellent topic Adi! (Sorry, I did not post right away since I was on Advil for cold 😆😆 and my brain was on 6th floor while I was on the first as always..)

Voting at this stage should not be responsible for the decision of winners. Voting could substitute for 50% AT THE MOST! This will be a measure of POPULARITY based not only on music but on other factors that may be essential for participants in their future performances as other than just play back singing. They can also decide if they want to vote for the previous performance or overall presentation. (This will ensure PROFITS yet provide a fair judgement)

They should retain one JUDGE from beginning till the end of the show (not a mentor) who has voted for the participants right from the beginning - He / she can provide a measure of CONSISTENCY. After every performance, this judge should give marks out of 100 and the percentage should be AVERAGED (this will assure equality among candidates who perfomed more number of times as compared to others)

When 5 candidates remain, they should be asked to perform in 3 GENRE of their choice and they should be judged by JUDGES that are masters in music. The scores should be averaged. This will provide a good balance between VERSATALITY and EXPERTISE. 3 performances will also leave justification for one going bad and hence forgiven 😳.

The mentors should not be allowed to comment on the performance on stage at this level. It is a competetion for all of them as well. They also are subjected to the TEST and hence should be looked at as candidates themselves. If they break the rules, they should be asked to leave the stage and even the competetion if they create any drama. Their CANDIDATE can then pick his / her choice of gharana 😛.

IMO, ZEE can thus pick a candidate based on his or her musical talent- variety, consistency and expertise and popularity- A fair mix of several essential traits.
MUSIC above ALL.

Sanchita was the winner of little champs 2006. The above comment doesn't hold good unless we choose to discriminate between children and adults for some unjustifiable reason😳.

These two very talented singers were merely used by Zee to creat drama, Hype, viewership. When certain aspect of their drama back fired, they got rid of both and the blame was squarly put on us the voting janta.

They new that female contestants have never made it to the top. So no one would question their script.

That may be your opinion but the results have been pretty fair so far.Yes Sumedha should not have got eliminated last week, she had done better than Poonam...but apart from that Harpreet's elimination is the only one that was unfortunate...But Sumedha surely went down due to lack of votes.

By the way, I belive discussing anything else after top 4 would be letting out a spoiler.so I wont counter your points just now...

Another thing, at most times it has been seen that public pays more attention to the male contestants than the female ones..Mauli was an exception....

So if that means they vote less for the girls who can help them...why blame the channel then?

If the general perception is such then then we alow channels like Zee to use female contestants for spiceing up the shows. Creat love drama and get rid of them when convenient.

Why should you blame Zee if public votes less for girls? Is it their headache?

When this series started one female contestant Mauli Dave hogged all the limelight . So how can you say that Zee never allowed a girl to come on top?

Should they push a girl up just to prove a point that they are not biased when it is the public who have made very clear that who they want ...

TV channels had allowed the lovestory dramas, but that included the boys too. Like the girls many talented boys also got eliminated...now is that also Zee's fault?

If you want a girl to come up, the only way to do that is campaign for her, create her fan base and then cheer her...

There are so many communities around for the participants. Can you honestly claim that Poonam and Sumedha's Fan club is the strongest one at that?

Why blame a TV house when the fault actually lies in the public...
