SRGMP 2005 VS. 2007

Which final 5 contestants do you think are better, the ones from challenge 2005 (Vinit, Debojeet, Hemachandra, Himani, Nihira) or ones from this year? Please give reasons aswell!

It will be very difficult to compare. I say impossible.

Both have an amazing final 5. I luv C05's contestants because of Himani and Nihira 👍🏼

c in SRGMP they train them so well in singing that itz really ahrd to choose wich singers r the best....yes this year i personally thnk everyone of the contestents in final 10 i think were really gdu..ex.junaid harpreet AMANAT!! hehe lol and more and MAULI....etc
and last year well they werent as gud as this year!! 1
but ya srgmp is the best singing show ever!!!

I love love loved the final five in c2005, but maybe it's because I am biased towards c2005. I mean everytime I heard Nihira or Hemu sing, I would go weak in the knees because their voices are so close to perfection...when they sing, you would never want to sing with them because you didn't want to take away from their genius.
Time would like cease when they would take their alaaps. Nihira had that soft tonal quality that would make your heart skip a beat, Hemu had such an AMAZING voice and the way he would mix in his own identity into songs was nothing short of brilliant. Vineet was good because of his range, and energy, same with Himani, and Debo had the voice of a male muse...if there is such a thing...

but c2007 peeps are wonderful as well.

Raja has his days when he can take the living daylights out of a song and put life into it all over again. If he really tries, it is very much possible that he can be the next Hariharan in the making...NOW that is a compliment!!!!
Aneek is fabulous...his voice quality is amazing, after you hear his version of songs...you don't want to listen to the original...(i.e. "Jaane kiya chahe maann"-Pyaar ke side effects).
Poonam, I have no idea where her voice comes from, she can be the next Jaspinder Narula easily!
Sumedha, has a nice voice quality as shekar said, but how long can one actually live off of that? No offense, but look at Vineet, didn't we think he was going to be the next Sonu Nigam after his "Tera Jadoo chal gaya"?!?! And where did that lead to....I hope Sumedha finds success with the Bhatts...
and Amanat, I really like him, he's great. His voice is so soothing. Like someone seranading you. I hope he goes far...

Overall though, even though c2007 has a couple GREAT singers, I think that as a competition on the whole c2005 raised the level for singing comps to a whole new level which will be hard to reach, even by c2007. But REMEMBER...I am BIASED towards c2005!!!!

I agree with you guys..they are uncomparable..I mean each season has so many things that attract you to it..so the contestants even are uncomparable..each top 10 contestant f each season has done a brilliant job at thier task and they simply rock

C2005, without a doubt.

IMO, the top 10 of C2005 were all better than the top 10 of C2007 - Raja and Aneek included.

Challenge 2005 of course. The quality of singers are better.Nihira, Himani, Vinit, Hemachandra, Rajeev and Sharib. They were awesome

Debo i think is the worst among the 10 (C2005 + C2007, Girls and Boys combined).

Among the girls, Nihira is way ahead of the rest.
Poonam is probably better than Himani/Sumedha.

Among the guys, there is no clear winner in my opinion.
Hemachandra, Raja and Amanat all have unique voices and comparison is really difficult.
Aneek is slightly better than Vinit though IMO.

If not for Debo, C2005 would have been a clear winner. Nihira and Hemachandra were the real stars of C2005.
