their have been many show on tv.. do you really think all of them will really go to bollywood. let's see how many shows there has been. II 1,II 2, Fame gurukul, Saregamapa 2005,II3, ... cant remember any more. they are more than core singers trying to get to their fame but im sure that mauli will make it cause of the way of her style of singing.

Hey Theatre, Yes they have all stepped out.. each and every contestant in top 9 have tried various genres, some did exceptionally well across all & hence were branded versatile..Aneek,Amanat and Junaid, some excelled in few & did ok in rest and were branded "great singers" esp in thier genres like Mussarat & Raja.Few like Harpreet, Sumedha & Poonam (They sing normal masala songs,romantic numbers, classical based songs as well as item songs) consistently sing well in all thier songs. Only Mauli failed miserably trying her hand at non item numbers.

I agree winning this show doesnt mean a great deal & doesnt guarentee a bollywood entry. I also agree Mauli may make a mark in the industry in her selected genre ,but then again, we dont have too many songs in that genre and there are quite a few establsied singers already for those type of sings. SO its all up to Bappi to market her.

everyone's got their own opinion. from my perspective, i dont see mauli improving. she just screams in her 'so called' singing. her performances are good and alive, but you also have to be a good singer at the same time. i think mauli wont be getting out soon because she brings a lot of money to zee tv.. now please dont start arguing with me and try to force ur opinion on me that mauli is improving.

And- by the way- for those who totally missed my point, I am not, nor was I ever a Mauli fan. Some of her songs hurt my ears, like that Ghustakhiyan song, (or however you spell it) where she screamed, and Soniye.... (ouch)

But I'm not refusing to believe that, obviously, she's getting better. Practice makes people better. And she's gotten tons of it on that stage. She's nowhere near the level of people like Amanat, Raja, Poonam, etc.. in fact, she's not better than anyone in the show. She should have been out ages ago, but it's the public that's keeping her in. My MAIN point was that Mauli's obviously improving, so people can't really say that she's the same as she was in the beginning.

Hope I've made my point clear.

argh! so many Mauli topics! .. i think there should be a sticky where people only can discuss about mauli... i think these mauli topics make the forums look messy. 😆 😆

Those who consciously decide Mauli's a horrenduous singer, subconsciously recognize she is improving ,whether they admit it or not. A stubborn mindset (very common for Desis, but not limited to) refuses to recognize or openly announce "hey, Mauli's actually getting a lot better" or "Mauli's not so bad" or "She's got potential."

Whether they ignore it or not, recognize it or not, there are other singers to choose from. If Mauli doesn't float their boat, then that's fine, to each his own! It's a contest determined by the public, so the public must be entitled to any opinion right?

If they continue bashing on Mauli, then that only proves their own insecurity, stonewall approach & inflexbility.

but the OTHER SINGERS ARE BETTER... why is that so hard to understand? doesnt matter if she is improving you cant eliminate a singer that is already better than her.. she is a good singer i dont deny that, but the others are alot better.. like last week, is it fair that mauli gets more votes than mussarat, is mauli a better singer than mussarat or harpreet?

I didn't see the words "better than the rest" anywhere

she was always good, in her genre that is, she has had some bad days, doesnt mean that she should b labeled AS "a loser" .... i loved the way you put this post, but her performances such as "swades" etc.... were not her type... she is like a shubha , kailash kher type, i agree that they are better than her, but those singers are siongle-genre- singers 😊
