Hype - Makes or Breaks A Singer?

The ones who have been declared favourites and they are in the spotlight for reasons that are musical and non musical, they are lucky. All the hype created by Zee and the mentors and the public is going to make them big.

But is this at the cost of somebody else's confidence? Look at Harpreet today, he was broken as a singer.No confidence, he looked so dejected, so lost. Even before the results were announced, the mentors made it seem like he deserved to be out. It was heart breaking when he said that he always hoped to be in the top 3 and used to even kid about it knowing he never would be.

I guess I don't like the fact that all this hype is crushing singers who are great. It's making them hang their head down in shame for no reason. I didnt realise how much it can affect a person till I saw how upset Harpreet was. I hope they tone down all this hype at least when somebody's morale is at stake.

OMG!! I am so dejected to see the behavior of judges towards Harpreet today...there was no need of doing all this even before his performance..his hands were even shaking while singing 😭 😭 😭 ..I hate these mentors...

Harpreet was a good singer and did not deserve to be eliminated at that stage.
His talent was overlooked.

Yes but if your going to Hype the love triangle is still a better form than having your own mentor say your not as good as Raja or Mussurat and you deserve to be out. Not cool, Vishal.

I agree Kim, It was awful to watch him in so much pain, It was so obvious, they never give him his due, raja who came back in was treated like a king & Harpreet was made to play second fiddle to him.(Maybe even third, considering atleast the International votes Juni got & the female following)

As it is both singers were in fear of being evicted..and what does his superb mentor Vishal say?? I will bet Mussarat is not out.. he shd not leave., he is this & he is out.. and dont give a thought to the fact that he is crushing Harpreet's spirit.. and he thinks the candy he threw in later abt not being hyped will make things right?? This guy is so devastated, I pray to god he gets his confidence back, that was so ruthlessly broken by the insensitive mentors 😡

You know i agree with u completely.
The hype is getting the singers many votes (deserved or not deserved)...but those that can actually sing...they are left behind 😭

In my honest opinion, Harpreet was the most deserving contestant. All of the other singers have some drama to contribute to the show which give them some limelight (good or bad).

But I'm very happy that Harpreet has gone so far. Its not easy reaching this height soley on Talent...bcoz as u know...the remaining contestants are very Hyped...thus still remaining in the competition. (Fans...im not saying that they are only there becoz of Hype....but just take a look at Ms. M). Hope you get the point.

Yeah Vishal saying he is ready to bet that it won't be mussarat who is eliminated must have hit Harpreet hard. Sometimes Vishal shouldn't say anything at all. He should learn from Shekhar to shut up more often.

Well Vishal declared Harpreet is the one who shd leave, Himesh declared Mussarat the winner & Vishal was placing a bet with Himesh that harpreet will leave... Vishal then said to Harpreet.. dont feel ashamed, you are losing a much better singer.. even before the results were out & harpreet was heart broken... He now thinks he is awful & hopes to be a good singer someday... am feeling so angry at this moment

Musarrat sang very well..fine...praise him...but why pull down Harpreet ..He also gave such a nice performance...I hate Vishal for saying that...
