actually i was looking at those mentor pics... and there were only 2 posted so from that i concluded that there were only 2 gharaana's left

but then chachu told me that Alaap gharaana's listed separately w/out the mentor pic... so heh my mistake for analyzing pics instead of reading.... kya karoon pics attract me more than words 😳😆

sorry for not being active in this contest for a long time... was a bit bz...then had gotten a bit lazy... so here it goes...

Ashishji... gr8 choice of ghazal... suited your voice very well... loved it.

common song: u gave me goosebumps!...sur and taal...idk much about that...but didn't found any mistakes at all...very beautifully sung😳👏👏

Seema... never heard that song... but u were amazing!

common song: your voice... idk there's like this echoing sound in your voice which makes it very pleasurable to listen... and doesn't seem like it needs any music at all ...love your voice... and again u 2 have sung this song very beautifully and w/ a lot of feel...😳👏👏

Cindhuji...i've heard this song soooo many times that it's practically engraved in my memory....u were really good... but somehow i felt as though it needed more enthusiasm... sometimes u lost the feel of the song... and sometimes it touched straight to the heart...other than that..perfect.

Common song: This i liked!😳...though at times i felt that u controlled your voice.... didn't open up much at higher notes....other than that ...gr8 job😳👏👏

Lavanya... omg...u sang my all-time fav. song...this song too is etched in my memory soo well that it was hard to get that out of mind and just judge ur singing...but well...what can i say at times u were stretching it more than it was necessary... sometimes u lacked the feeling...and idk... u cud had done a lotttt better.... i've heard u b4... u cud had.😳

oh oh... I just saw that this round songs are posted.. I feel really sorry that I couldnt make it.

I went to oklahoma to attend my brother-in-law's graduation ceremony 3 weeks before and we met an accident there. Tanaz know that we reached Houston,US on 19th July. Aate hi saath ye accident. It was not our fault. My brother-in-law was driving and unexpectedly it happened. Luckily no one got seriously injured. My husband and his brother are fine now. my leg got hurt and I was hospitalised. I asked my sister to check IF and told her if tanaz give any message then to reply back and tell my situation. But she used to tell that I didnt get any msg. I thought I still have time due to extension. I am back home to Houston now. I am fine with still bandage on my leg and little body pain. Just now I checked IF and found that songs are posted. I am shocked. while going thru this thread I saw tanaz msg that my inbox is full. I didnt notice that. 😭

My sister dont know anything about IF and she dont find time too to check everything. I was sure that Tanaz will give msg and when it prompt then my sis can reply her.

Anyway its over now. I didnt hear to anyone yet. Let me come out of this bad mood then I will go through. I thought to record my songs once I am back from oklahoma. We went there only for 2 days but got stuck for 3 weeks. 😭

I was worried because usually you are so prompt about submitting songs. That's why I even tried e-mailing you.

You have been a true fighter throughout this competition - recording songs even during hectic moves. Even your one-takes have been excellent. I am really happy that you were assigned to my gharana and proud of what you have accomplished.

glad to know that the injuries were not serious and you are on your road to recovery. Considering the circumstances, I feel you should definitely get a chance to submit your songs for the previous round.
