Yes it is!
I couldn't find anything so someone pointed something which is versatality.
Versatility----No one is that versatile!
Tell me if anyone is...

What I feel is most of the times the positive and negative facts are interdependent. For ex. if a person has strong voice, he/she can't carry off the soft numbers well, similarly if a person has soft voice, he/she is not gud at fast/peppy numbers. Its all about voice modulation. Basically if a person's voice is not too strong/not too soft, then it works to their advantage, bcuz then it is far easy to modulate a little to make it soft/srong.
Similarly, take Mussarat and Harpreet for another example. Mussarat has lot of murqiyan in his voice which becomes a plus when he sings the sufi songs but the same thing acts against when he sings a simple song. Harpreet's voice is the opposite. Its kinda flat, so when there is lot of harquaten, we feel the flow is not proper. But when he sings a less complicated song like 'O majhi re' he is superb.
True.
Because at the end of the day, each voice is like a different instrument with a different tonal quality and a different sort of flexibility.
Imagine playing Beethoven's Fur Elise using a trumpet!

Absolutely! Versatility has its own limits. That is why NO singer is perfect.
Many of these mainstream playback singers can do very well in standard filmi songs and pop songs, but if they were to venture out into rock music for instance, very few would be able to do justice to the songs.
