Honestly, what is the big deal. SO what, they wanted to sing Pakistani songs instead of India Patriotic songs. LET THEM!! For all of the Americans, Canadians, or Englandies out there, if our independence day was on te 14th of August, wouldn't you want to reprensent your country? I know we are indians, but if I were representing my country and it happened to be my independence day, I would sing the Star Spangled Banner and nobody would be able to stop me, because that's equivalent to disrespecting my country.
What does that mean? If I am in India, I can only sing Indian Patriotic songs?!?! That's poor representation on behalf of some overly eccentric indian patriots. We can only become friends with our neighbors past the borders if EVERYone of us learns to respect each other's cultural differences and beliefs as well as patriotism-love for one's country.
I think that this can be a milestone for people in India and Pakistan provided that they learn from it and try not to opress anyone again from sharing their patriotism.
Hope I didn't offend anyone, that was not my intention at all.
