Is it Really Vishwayudh????

I am now having a big question in mind - The show is claiming itself to be Vishwayudh - the world cup of singers.. But if you see we have only contestants from India as the majority followed by contestants from Pakistan and only one representing US.. So, how can this be world cup?? 😕

I agree that one from South Africa, and 2 others from US or Canada got eliminated.. But if we closely observe from the start, there were more contestants from India and less from other countries.. So is it not an injustice??

Now if we see the example of Cricket World Cup, there are many countries and they work as a team.. If the team looses, then they are out of the world cup.. According to me, the same format should have been followed here also.. With just one contestant from US, and others from India and Pakistan - Can it really be called as Vishwayudh??

Is it only me who thinks so, or is there anyone who supports me one this issue?? 😕

No you are not the only one. India-Pakistan music fight itself will do great for them(ZEE) for the TRP, so who cares about the true meaning of "Vishwayudh."

Thanks - atleast I am not the only one 😳 You are so right - they have this TRP but what about the true meaning of the competition and why do they claim it to be Vishwayudh?? 😕

If you recognize the cricket world cup as world cup, then even this Viswayuddh is Vishwayuddh . So called cricket world cup is participated by not more than 20 countries. 😃

well, intially there were a many more contestants from india than north america, the middle east, south africa and pakistan so obviously the contestants from india have a much higher chance of winning this "world cup".

bear in mind that it was quite difficult to find very good contestants in some auditions that were held abroad from india, like in south africa for instance, so that's already a setback for not finding enough contestants from around the world.

After seeing what's happening around here in IF(which is definitely a reflection of the general public) after the Independence Day episode, I am having doubts if next year there would be another "Vishwayudh". This whole format needs some serious grooming like the voting procedure, selection from different countries, judges from different countries,etc. This looks very much half-baked.

its basically india vs. pakistan with the exception of Mauli, but she is also Indian..

Forget other countries,there arent any singers from the Southern parts of India...South India has produced some great singers like Hariharan,Yesudas,Chitra,AR Rehman,SPB etc..They would have got many good singers had they held auditions in Hyderabad,Chennai etc

Hindi n Urdu pronounciation is almost the same n directors r looking 4 more good singers in the Indian film industry. So songs also will b in Hindi only. Now how u will call people from other countries. I think it will not b a good idea 🤢

that is quite right.

anyway, from what i see.. i don't think junaid will win srgmp c2007 and that only leaves mussarat and amanat who are both from pakistan. both abbas and ali are outnumbered by 7:2 by contestants from india. 😊
