Hi ppl,

I was wondering that hardly any1 in top10 of C2007 is versatile.

Poonam: haven't heard a soft song from her yet. I agree she's a rlly good singer (Personally shes on my fav list) but can she sing "Aao na" properly, which Sumedha sang in last episode.

Sumedha: again one of my fav but haven't heard any item number from her, e.g songs like "Kuan ma" from Page 3

Mauli: we all know about her versitality. She's only good with item songs. She cannot sing any Alka Yagnik song or even Shreya Ghoshal (forget it)

Raja: I like him too but have only heard high-pitched songs from him, not a soft romantic song. i would love to listen Chand Sifarish from him.

Mussarat: again one of my fav, but xtra-ordinary in only one genre.

Joy: well, I don even know what he's doing in top10. No offense to his fans but his high and low pitched songs, all sounds the same. 😕 He's sum1 I'll like to leave immideately

Junaid, Amanat, Aneek, and Harpreet, however, have shown their versitality.

Still, Aneek sounds so much like Sonu Nigam or Vinit, and has nothing new to offer. he doesn't have any uniqueness.

I'm disappointed and so sad from the voting result this week but would definitely like to see either Amanat or Junaid win this competition.

I wonder why Junaid isn't being appreciated by the Indian Janta, coz he is one of the best singers of this competetion. I'm so glad that, atleast, he has topped in the International voting.

i agree, many of the above names have not really shown versatlity but i do think that if Raja and Mussarat try sumthing different from their regular singing, they can do well!

and Aneek isnt versatile! he cant get out of the Sonu shadow!... no doubt, hes a great singer, but he hasnt depicted much of versatlity, and then his voice isnt anyhting new, surely sounds like Sonu, as Shekhar states!

and Amanat is really a good singer and has also proved his versatlity and then hes always in the spotlight ... but Junaid and Harpreet (whose now out ) are truly talented and versatile, yet, have never been noticed... and i have always felt that thru the way the judges treat them!....

Harpreet is now out but the following thing applied to him as well..... i feel that ppl tend to ignore Junaid when it comes to mentioning "good singers" of the show... i have seen him singing various of songs from time to time and has always done his best, yet, ppl never appreciate him for that... ppl like Raja and Aneek who are very good, yet in one genre constantly , are the ones who are always hyped! ... and then there are sum who are just hyped for absolutely no reason at all! 😕

Poonam - I am sure she will be able to sing Aao na as well. She is basically a technically gifted singer. She is concentrating only on technically challenging songs.

Sumedha - Apparently looks not versatile. But does not she sing effortlessly even when climbing high notes ? I think she can not yet be labeled as lacking versatility.

Raja - Due to his specialized tonal quality of his voice even though he is versatile it does not seem that different from his signature style which is apparently sufi..high pitched songs.

Amanat - As far as pure singing is concerned he is versatile. Personally i feel like every song Raja sings that sounds like sufi, same way Amanat sounds as if he is singing ghazals. Can he do shouting and howling kind of songs?

Mussarat - Same as Raja, only difference is he has more control over his voice.

Joy - I feel his voice suits fast modern Kunal G type songs.

Junaid - Likkha jo khat tushe ...Esha pehle bar hua hai... looks like versatile...but what about sufi , howling and shouting type songs.

Aneek - Seems versatile but does not specialize in any kind of songs.

I feel that nobody is truly versatile but Poonam and Aneek comes closer to it and Amanat & Sumedha are also probalby capable of handling more varieties of songs but have not traversed them so far.

well, didn't he prove that he's excellent in high-pitched and howling n shouting type of songs by his "aisa pehli bar hua hai" and "Ishq kabhi kario na" and "O hasina zulfon wali" and "Woh Lamhe" and "Ghustakh Dil" song (he even made ID dance)

He also proved that he can sing soft, romantic song by singing "wada" by Roop K Rathod, which saved him from Chakarvyuh

He has also shown his middle range by singing "Halke Halke" and "Pal" and "Khali dil nai" and "Panchi nadiya pawan ke jhonke" and "Tanhayee"

He can also do well in sufi songs, if given a chance, and his "Maula mere" proves that.

To be able to sing sufi songs is a gift, I bet even Aneek can't do that. Plus, nobody in C2005 did it either but still contestants were considered versatille.

In short, Junaid has a different voice and style and has shown his versitality and have stayed consistent and deserves to win this competetion

and not to forget atif aslam's "woh lamhe", which is more like an item number and loud and soft at the same time!... i think he surely gave his best on that one as well!
