May be someone should correct him.

I second that!

i personally think he is too hyped an monotonous. he does sing well, no doubt, but dont find him any better than amanat / anik at any level..

HR didn't say overhyped, he said hyped...

His intention was positive...

And

Raja deserves what he is getting...

I dont want to bash anyone favorite contestant but there are times raja can sing good and there are times he doesnt but I think that the other contestant are most deserving....I have never since any mentors give raja straight 10 like they have to aamant, aneek, mussarat ...... I do agree that he sings good but not to the point that he can beat others by a voice quality... maybe viewers will vote for him but in the end he will end up like debo... but look vinit he has sung songs in the movies so did himani... So versality does matter in the end this versality gives them the chance of being a playback singer in bollywood like sunidhi who can sing any kind of songs. I am sorry if I hurt anyones feelings, but I am just writing down on how I feel.

Raja overhyped ? I do not think so.

Consider these,

1) he had been in the Ekalavya gharana. His chances of being there at where he is there today was as good as the two Ekalavya gharana guys who did not get a chance to be selected into any gharana and had left thereof.

2) He had impressed everyone by his first song after getting a berth in Hit gharana by performing "allah ke bande.." but still after a bad performance he had been eliminated in the Mahaguru round. Now he is as good as out of SRGMP-7 but every body remembers his first performance all the mentors sing chorus of Allah ke bande and Raja is the lead singer ..

3) VS wins brahmastra, they bring in Raja along with few others ... This time his performance in the brahmastra round is again impressive and he proves that he is not tailor made only for singing "Allah ke bande.."

4) He get through Brahmastra round with whopping 30+ of the total votes poled.

A hyped/overhyped contestant in my opinion is the one who had been picked up from the beginning and being tom-tommed as a great singer and his history in SRGMP -7 would have been a smooth sailing from the starting itself. Not this in Ekalavya and in and out stages of the competition.

correct..very true..And one more thing-

even if he is faking it, he is doing it with perfection..look at his face...he looks like so vulnerable..When he sings he sings with full devotion..he has already proved he is so cool..that winning loosing doesn't bother him...he accepted his previous ouster with such a grace...It looked like he is just interested in singing...And his answers are no doubt very intelligent...If he continues in same manner then I don't think he will get lost after SRGMP..He is here to stay..and once his career takes-off he will become more than just a singer...look out for this guy..he will shine with brilliance

He has the base and with training will improve. But his voice is not suitable for playback singing. He can excel in Sukhbinder genre.

Why do people have this fixation with playback singing? Playback singing is not the end of the world. I don't see voices of Hariharan, Kailash Kher, Sukhwinder, Daler Mehndi, Vishal Dadlani or Shankar anyway suited to "playback singing". But they still are successful.

Aneek, people say has a playback singer voice. So who is he going to replace? Sonu Nigam? Or Kay Kay? At best, he's a clone. He has to get out of the Sonu Nigam mode to succeed. Sonu Nigam himself got out of the Sonu Nigam mode with "Yeh Dil" from Pardes. It was that that propelled his career.

And playback singing is going out of the window - slowly, but surely. Lip sync has to go out. Songs will now be more in the background rather than heroes lip syncing.
