Bappi da's silly comment

In Sat's episode he commented on Shreshtha...he said something like "Yeh song (dum mast kalandar) bahut common hai, har koi gaata hai stage par...Runa Laila jab bhi aati hai to yahi gaana gaati hai...." He was trying to belittle Shreshtha's attemp probably...

He was trying to build support for Mauli no doubt...but that was really pathetic on his part to say something like that...🤢

Ive bin lissenin 2 shakira for years now... When Shakira goes on high notes for any ov her songs, she sings.... She doesnt SHOUT on the top ov her lungs like mauli, hus onli gud @ mayya mayyas high note!!... and Shakira's equally good wiv low notes... Derz no way mauli can be compared to her!! 🤢

Yeah, I agree, that was a rather lame comment. It was cut out in the US broadcast, though I saw it online.

I thought it was rather silly of Anandji to tell Shreshta that she was lacking in "confidence"!! Can anyone who sees Shreshta's "Dum a dum mast kalandar" song say that she is lacking confidence ?? 😕 😕 😕 Clearly, he had no idea what to tell her. He buckled in to pressure and gave the decision that the mentors/network wanted.

i think that song was rather difficult
and srestha sang it pretty good
also considering it was in another language
but anyhow i loved the way she sang it
so yea wat was he thinkin wen he made that comment lol

Shareshta was better than mauli in both rounds.and mauli accepted that in the end.

I don't find his comment silly. Runa, Abida Parveen can sing this song way better than Shreshtha....with more gusto. Shreshtha was just copying them..nothing better than the original. I will listen to Abida or Runa any day..their Damma Dum is full of gusto. Shreshtha during singing came to words Dama Dum they didn't stand out but it kind of fell flat..Abida's dum dum is full of life same with Runa..Shreshtha just copied them nothing original at all.

Songs like dumadum need to be sung at a much lower scale (A or A#), Shreshta sang it at C#, bad choice of scale.
She sang much better than she has in the past.
Her "murkhis" sounded much better this time.
She still couldn't come anywhere close to Runa Laila.
Runa in her heydays was an awesome singer.

The funniest part is his Hindi, can't imagine a person living in Bombay for more than 25 yrs, linked with the Hindi Film industry for so long, speaks so funny Hindi. 😆
