He was a finalist in 'Sa Re Ga Ma Megafinal' in 1998, I think. Parthiv can really sing. This is a home video, yet you can see how good he is.

kavita ji ke gaye gaane bacho ka khel nahi hai.

Mauli beleives a lot in bol banao( 😆 roy saab will understand what I'm saying ),this song as discussed earlier is based on Ahir Bhairav: a pre dawn raag originating from thaat bhairav ( am I right roy saab ?), isme ras aur ranjakta both are missing (sur par dhyan dena chod diya hai 😆), see some other songs on same raag like:
Puchho na kaise maine rain bitai - (Meri Surat Teri Aankhen)
Raam teri ganga maili ho gayi...


I don;t think this lot of singers can do it.

BTW orchestra walo ko kam se kam notations do , kabhi rhythm ka halwa kabhi chords ka achar....

u got it wrong here. Y should , WE, the viewer try to sing it, we are not singers, we are not trained, but Mauli wants to be a singer, she wants to make it her profession, so she is the one who should be trying hard to sing properly. However, if you ask a good singer to sing maiyya maiyya , I know they will be able to sing it, and who knows maybe better.

One or two performances are not enough to judge the potential to shower extreme emotion. she excelled in one, she flopped in another one. lets wait and see the next one, if she flops again or shines again...

She is also a novice. rate her that way....as one would rate others.

This is a high profile contest broadcast all over the world, watched by millions.

All contestants "claim" to be singers, not wanna-be's.

No mediocrity is acceptable - ALL contestants should be subject to the harsh glare of the critics.

As a viewer that has a choice, why should I accept poor performances. Why should I be "understanding" of someone who can't move past 1 song? Someone who can't sing any 2nd song reasonably well?
