I think there should be a strong copy right enforcement and protection in India too. At least unaknowledged lifts will be costlier.

Is this company going to protect only American right holders? In that case what about plagiarising from other areas of the world?

May AS's company will detect who all have lifted from American compositions and will report them to their producers in America. 😃

America ko chhodo, how about protecting the rights of singers across the border first, Mr. Srivastav? 😉

Apne Srivastav saab hi koi doodh ke dhule nahi hain. Here's what itwofs.com has to say:

Shava shava [Kabhi Kushi Kabhi Gham (2001)] <TC>
Composer: Aadesh Shrivastava

The slower passages in the middle of the song that goes, 'Delha tenu pehli pehli...' is a direct lift from Shazia Manzoor's track 'Batiyan bujaye rakhdi'..

Listen to Shava Shava (mid portion) | Batiyaan Bujaye Rakhdi

Shazia's original track was part of her 1999 album, 'Chan Makhna'. The original is a super energetic track while Aadesh has used it for what Bollywood calls, 'Pathos' mood :-)

Good find 😆
Aadesh, practice what you preach! 😛

Yesterday, I heard a Malay song with the tune of Amar Prem's "yeh kya hua" and was astounded. Looks like people are copying from Hindi film tunes as well.

What about all those jaagran songs blaring from loudspeakers in Delhi, which are set to movie tunes? In Vaishnodevi, someone heard a bhajan set to the tune of "Choli ke peeche kya hain"!! 😆

I would like to you to check when that malay song was recorded.Your inference might turn out to be reverse as well.

Some people have reported listening to familiar hindi tunes in folk songs in Europe !!

😆😆😆 Maybe Aadesh and I can work together.

oooh..interesting.... i guess protecting the right of only US artists may have something to do with the rate of the dollar as opposed to middle eastern currency 😆
