Utni baar bolenge jab tak logon ke dimaag mein yeh baat ghus jaayegi. 😊 Ek thappad kya, kayi saare thappad padne ki zaroorat hain. We are talking of the need for a revolution. This is a serious subject, not something to be dismissed like one of your Himesh topics.

But the biggest question is are they doing it for creative satisfaction?NO.. thats the main reason for this degradation. For every other reason and satisfaction melodies are being made now except for this creative satisfaction. because if that had been the case then they would not hav thought about market demand or bank book filling.

I still maintain that this change brought by our music industry people to turn it into more of a factory than art is the main cause of such dearth in good melodies. Sabatical will not serve any purpose. their thinking process needs to be changed. earlier MD's used to work on a song for so many days starting from lyrics to the actual song. the singer was made to record rerecord a song till perfetion came. All that is lost now.

How can u get a perfect feeling into a duet song these days when the two singers are recording seperately. Its difficult to get that chemistry into that song. why duets even solo ones are at times being recorded in pieces and then techno effects being given to make it a song. The main reason for this is again lack to proper practice (riyaz) and the need to fill the market and bank book demand.

Having a little memory lapse - are we? I haven't opened a Himesh topic in ages! Let's see, what was the last major Himesh topic? Ah yes - a series of tongue-in-cheek questions meant for Mr. Himesh Reshammiya, which he had a 0.1% chance of reading, and a 0.01% chance of responding. Very serious, I must admit. 🤔

And to seriously give my opinion of this topic, it seems less of a revolutionary discussion, and more of a group of people complaining.. and complaining.. and complaining. It had it merits and some interesting points initially, but after 11 pages, it's like flogging a dead horse.

When I said your Himesh topic, I did not mean your thread. Why not clarify when you are not sure? Maybe I could have said "our" Himesh topic to put it in the right perspective. Certainly this topic is more weighty that any Himesh topic started by anyone, including me.

It has gone up to 11 pages because people are responding to it! Thanks for admitting that you found some interesting points. Now let me see if anyone else can provide interesting points such as the path forward.

Did you even read what I wrote about Shubha Mudgal's suggestions? This was an extremely important message. Before a revolution starts, people complain that they are fed up with the current system and want a change. I guess we need people with depth to even understand the issues at stake.

Yes, you should have worded it differently. Quoting a person and then saying 'like your Himesh topics' is not the right way to respond. Being an editor, I would have expected you to be more careful with the words you choose - one word can change the whole perspective and turn the discussion personal, even if you did not intend it that way.

Underlying message looks more of revival than revolution.

Revival could be a subset of revolution. Basically, the idea is to bring about an increase in the number of informed listeners.

I can sense that you are terribly hurt about the possible linking of your name with Himesh. 😃 Point noted.

Yes 😭, unfortunately my Himesh topics are a big flop, and never manage to reach a dozen pages. Maybe I also need to start bumping my Himesh topics just to keep them alive - even if it means half the posts in the topic will be mine. If anyone complains about that, I'll simply call it a revolutionary topic. 😃
