Himesh is trying to sing it in a different style, a more dabi voice instead of the shrilling voice in the original song and failed miserabley..I think it is HR at its worst..

Here is another version, where singer is not trying to change his voice and singing normally..but the dance is no where compared to Helen's

I was browsing IF with my cat sitting next to me on my couch. Then I clicked on the mehbooba link and boy, my cat just jumped crazily knocking down my laptop and hid under the couch. I think she thought some stray dog entered my house. It took us a while to convince her that there was no dog in house and then only we could pull her out.

Situation or no situation, I agree with Kabhi that RD Burman shouted in the original song as well. Most rock music sounds like shouting only and he was going for the "rocker" effect in that song. But, it was still fun to listen to.

Also, HR did sing it in his own style and it ended up sounding atrocious. Asha did not sing it well either, sorry to say. The whole song was shoddily done.

Adi, Asha ji should not have been a part of this nonsense. 😡

Actually, Asha is very commercial minded.

Why else would she sing with Brett Lee, Sanjay Dutt and Urmila Matondkar? She also sang Jhalak Dikhlaja in the "Incredibles" concert. Whatever anyone may say, Himesh IS selling right now and Asha tai is taking advantage of that.

Even with all of the electronic mixing, it still sounds like -- well I don't want
to go in trouble with the mods.

And please do not insult my neighbor's dog who howls more sweetly. 😉

Asha sounds better but not great either!
