the song, the yelling the rhythm, the beats, the singing, the tempo, all put together make then song special. it is considred as an enjoyable song suited in the fast song category, is it beautiful, contexually it is...so thats what counts.

I agree.. and Himesh's song in the movie is situated in the midst of aristocrats at a tea party hosted by the Queen in Buckingham Palace, which makes all the yelling/howling completely inappropriate. 😊

Abhi please.U want a raga based melody in that particular situation in the movie! And please whatever that song might be this one just dnt stand anywhere near it.This is just ridiculous singing.Maybe HR at his worse.

This is a song which HR should hav sung in his own style.I had mentioned to few here that i am really waiting for this song by HR because it will come out good in his style of singing. Why did he go for copying i hav no idea.Thats where he made the biggest mistake.

Barnalidi... I did criticize HR in this song... and u r right that thsi is here worst effort..... I have written my comments not for HR songs.... I wrote them against RDB song being beautiful.....

It is enjoyable song...

but it is not beautiful as per standards of this section.... there have been so many enjoyable songs by other singers which have been criticised here on this section... then why special treatment to RDB sahab

I think the best part of the original song was the beat on which Helen danced so well....I wont be surprized if the current song is a hit because of its beat..

Himesh is trying to sing it in a different style, a more dabi voice instead of the shrilling voice in the original song and failed miserabley..I think it is HR at its worst..

Here is another version, where singer is not trying to change his voice and singing normally..but the dance is no where compared to Helen's

Here is the original..

Arre bhai situation aur context ki baat hai - she's in a modern day club, so how can she dance like a nachne wali in the midst of hooligans 😉

You may be right..but context or no context, people generally compare original with the remake😃 like we are all doing right now..

Here's the remix version of the same song - for some reason it's exactly the same as the regular version - even the music.. wonder why they made 2 versions then...

I think once you get over the initial shock of Himesh's ooooo's, you can begin to enjoy the song. Asha ji has done a fabulous job - even better than RD Burman, in my opinion. 👏
