Asha Tai ...sab pe Chhai

How u folks feel about Asha tai advice to contestants..Asha Tai was seen giving pretty opposite comments than gharan gurus especially VS and Himesh..Do you agree with her views?

i think she noes more abt sur n taal better than VS n HR so i think contestants shd rather take her advice 😊

I think mentors were playing some politics but Asha ji was not influenced by it and gave a good judgement..Definitlely gave very good advice to the contestants👏..I think she is a big plus for Zee saregama

Asha tai is a profound singer! No question about it. 👏 But I feel that the society has changed. Holding a mic and singing is not how singers should be. They should have the vibrant personality to perform. Mauli is an average singer but a great performer. Asha tai's advice seemed to be good for yester years. That's my opinion. Nevertheless she is one fantastic singer, and truly a legend. 😳

Asha ji is no doubt a very well respected, no nonsense jury with good knowledge of music. Her advices are constructive and she is always polite to contestants too. I also agree that we don't want these contestants to get scared away in the initial rounds. But I wouldn't argue if everything old is gold and one who is old has more knowledge.

I personally loved Mussarat's rendition of 'Tujhe dekh' and I agree with HR on singing from the same genre in initial rounds. I thought Vishal's criticism was unwarranted at least in the initial rounds, let Mussarat sing in few more rounds. I don't support HR' aggressive reaction either. He went too far😃. Asha ji got caught in all this and immediately picked on Mussarat. I think it is time she let go of her gripe towards HR😛.

Asha ji is still releasing albums and is active in singing/concerts..I agree with Himesh that you should be excellent in at least one genre to succeed in industry..It absolutely applies to Mussarat who seems to be unmatched in sufi songs..and He is Himesh's best bet and Himesh do not want to take chance with him singing other genres..

But to succeed in this kind of competition you have to show that you are good in other genres also as Asha ji was pointing out..

guru's are from our generation. no doubt they know about singing, sur n taal, music. but they not as experienced as ASHA TAI. She is a suro ki maleka. her sister's Lata ji and Usha ji are (u all would know this) are well known. Lata ji is of the legend. they all learned from their father DENANATH MANGESHKAR. Their foundation is strong.

What ever comments she made i 100% aagree with that. i'm from this generation but if some one ask me to choose sangeet i will choose old sangeets. BECAUSE OLD IS GOLD. this generation songs has no sur n no taal.

I agree with you performance matters in this kind of competition...Mauly will go far (if not shunted out by one of the judges before public voting starts)because of her great performance..Asha ji herself is a great performer if you happen to see one of her concerts..She is very lively on stage..

i think asha jis comments are absolutely justified she has not greyed her hair in sun, it takes experince and whn it cums to experince who better than a lady whos been a master of her trait for abt 30 -35 yrs now. the way she pointed out the "akar and ekaar" thing it wuz fabulous. no one culd point out that mistake even bappi lahiri whos so experienced. and she never harsh on the contestants allways soft spoken she gets to whr the mistakes are really thre and that is in ways of teaching of mentors. i think her pearls of wisdom shuld be exepted by the students with both hands if they wanna do gud in future!
