Mentors Topic Round 6-Regional Round-updt

Welcome to Mentors Topic : Details for Round 6

The theme of this round is Regional Songs .The songs could be from any regional language of India. Hindi songs will not be considered.

There is no change in the rules. All your entries should be submitted to your respective mentors on time so that he or she can post the songs here on the last day of Round 6 submission by the deadline. The result of Round 5 will be announced AFTER the songs of Round 6 are posted. The ones who are eliminated their songs will not be sent to the judges. And if for any reason the last date gets extended then the results will also be posted on that extended last date.

Mentors are requested that they please post here if any of their contestant is going to take the wild card entry.

Regional Round means no Hindi songs. Fine but is there any rule that the regional songs will have to be from Films or even non-film songs are allowed.

Even non-filmi songs are allowed.. Its only non hindi songs and that doesnot mean it has to be songs from films.. Even folk songs and songs from any albums can be selected by the participants.. Looking forward for this round..

Is it possible to extend the date to 14th April? Sarita is in US and will return to India on 8th. So giving her some time to get over jet-lag etc, I think 14th should be fine. Please let me know if this is possible.

Here's an info for all the mentors.

1. Saara is facing problems with her song in this round. she knows urdu songs from albums from pakistan. so the co-ordinating team is allowing her this benefit. Hope none hav any problem with this.

2. Mentors are requested tht please do get the original track links too for this round's songs. online links or uploaded ones, any. even the judges feel unless they hear to the original numbers it will be difficult for them to do the judgement. So please in this round while posting the song download links by the contestants do also post the original song link.

3. In the next round it will be any RD Burman or ARR number. i'll soon post the whole edited list of all the rounds again. may b there will be few changes in the last rounds. in one round at later stage we may hav a round where all the contestants will be made to sing the same song. there will also be a round where the contestant will sing one song of their choice and the other of judges choice. even this will be in the late rounds when there will be less contestants.

No objection on my behalf. My contestants have provided the orginal tracks. So will surely post them with the songs.
