I shall answer the question/s that I thought were kind of interesting to me.

More questions for the Alaap contestants…

4. Can you think of a round, that you find missing in the current schedule of the contest?

Something that allows all the contestants to sing the same song. That makes it easier to decide who goes and who stays. But I guess it could only be done in the last few rounds, when there are fewer people left. It has happened in SRGMP too. I remember in one of the very early days of SRGMP, Javed Akhtar wanted the two finalists to both sing, 'Allah tero naam' from Hum Dono.

It would also be interesting to have a round centred on a particular word such as "zulfey" or "saawan" or "aankhen" in the manner that Sur Sangam is starting new threads.

Thats a great suggestion - As the rounds for this season are already decided (and should not change unless all the contestants walk out of a given round 😆) - we will take a note of this and have it in Season 3😊

As for everyone singing the same song - This is a suggestion that has come from mentors, singers as well as the judges... I think we should have it in one of the later rounds, may be as the 2nd song for that round 😊
