Friends – As our IF SRGMP contest becomes more and more intense, with the mentors and singers working very hard to treat us with a musical feast week after week, its time we start knowing them more and more😃…

Beginning this week, we start a new feature of the IF SRGMP contest, where we are going to showcase one Gharana each week😊. The chosen gharana for the week is

Alaap

Leading from the front is the winning mentor from the last series, Sahana (Punjini)👍🏼 – the gharana's warriors include Abhijit (kabhi_21), Divya (divya_p), Pawan (Pawan Sharma), Saara (Saara 1), Sarita (ethnos) and Sayanu (rana_369)😊

So this week, all the members (including other gharana mentors and contestants) can talk to the chosen ones and ask all they wanted to know about them 😃.

Sahana and her team can share interesting experiences in the contest, come up with suggestions (that we will definitely note down and try to incorporate within the framework of the contest) 😳.

Also each special member of the Alaap gharana gets the opportunity to put one request to any other member of IF, and the audience member has to oblige 😉.

My first set of questions to Sahana's team, request all of them to answer individually…

1. Are you a trained singer? If yes, what kind of music have you learnt, for how long have you learnt music, and who has been your guru? If not, do you see yourself learning music some day?

2. Have you ever thought of taking up singing as a professional career? Why or why not? If yes, what are you doing to reach this goal of yours?

3. Have you ever participated in any other singing contest before? When was that, and how did you perform?

4. Has this contest influenced you in anyway to think of music more seriously? How?

5. If you could decide the format of this contest, would it be any different? How?

6. Is there a round in this contest that you think is going to be a challenge for you? Which one do you think will be the easiest one for you?

1. How does it feel returning to the contest in its 2^nd season?

2. Mention 3 things that you think have improved since the last season in this one. Mention the areas that you think still can be improved.

3. Are you a trained singer? If yes, what kind of music have you learnt, for how long have you learnt music, and who has been your guru? If not, do you see yourself learning music some day?

4. Have you yourself participated in any other singing contest before? When was that, and how did you perform?

5. Have you trained any other singer in real life?

6. What are the biggest challenges of virtual mentorship? What do you do to get over them?

Not at all trained.... I would love to learn music but dont have the patience to hear classical music😆

Never....... I have different goals in my life

Never........ participated.... and never will except for IF SRGMP

Yeah now I sing for more time in bathroom😳😆

Not at all trained.... my family does nt have a music background.... even listen very less.... so its just love because of which i sing

2.Have u ever judged ny contest b4, if yes.....ur experiences nd how did u like it?.....if not, wud u like to?

No, I would not like to judge as I am not capable of

3.Wat makes I-F SRGMP different 4m ny other contests??

4.If u were in a small family gathering/party(ny) nd if u were asked to sing.......firstly wud u sing?....secondly wat kind of song wud u sing?? Wud u continue singing if u got requests to sing some particluar songs

Family gatherings I will definitely sing..... I will sing the song that everyone can enjoy..... and if request is there I will sure ly sing

5.Have u given stage performances b4?? if yes....which was the most memorable one nd where was it??
