I have a true story and this is no joke.... I was on the couch with my cat in my lap. With remote I switched on the TV. After the usual SRGMP show title music came Himesh and as soon he started singing my cat jumped out, ran away for her life and hid deep inside under the couch thinking some dog entered my house. Man, it took a lot of time for me and my family members to convice her that there was no dog in the house and to pull her out from deep under. Never before she was so scared .....and seriously I am not joking here.....

By now most of you have heard that Jatin Lalit are splitting... really sad that the association of these composers did not last as much when compared to some of the great music composer duos. 3 of most prolific I would like mention here -----

why?any idea..

Some reasons cited--

1. Financial matters

2. Jatin started his own studio "Geet Audio Craft" and did not take Lalit in that venture

3. long period of failure before and after their last big success Hum Tum resulted in tension between them

👏 You made my day. This is truly hilarious😆 and I wasn't joking either...the howling was haunting. Feel sorry for your cat,poor thing had to suffer such trauma.

😆 You guys have amazing sense of humor..But yes it scared me too.. I was alone at home and was browsing suddenly by listening this boohoo by HR was so scary, for a sec I turned cold. I hope someone can convey HR that at least he should refrain singing live (where he cannot modify his singing)..it is scary..better stop singing

I am new to this forum. I watch SRGMP regularly.

Boy! Boy! Boy! this is amazingly hilarious!!!! I can't stop laughing even now. Didn't know sooo much of fun goes on here..

I could see the 20th oct episode yesterday.Sometimes it is an advantage if one knows the results in advance..It seems the participants also knew that there would be no judgement .Thay all mentioned that they were prepared for the the next day.
All were supposed to sing songs composed by S.D.Burman.
He has been my favorite composer.The songs were from movies Abhiman,Jewel Thief,Prem Pujari,Guide,Mili,and Baat ek Raat ki respectively.I have seen all the movies.
Raktima sang Piya Bina.All the mentors praised her.The song was picturised on Jaya Bhaduri and she had totally underplayed while performing.That underplay was missing from Raktima's singing as pointed out at the end by Anandji Bhai.May be her mentor AS could not train her properly as most(not all)of his compositions are Halla Gulla Type.
Keka chose Raat AKeli Hai.The song was picturised on Tanuja who was simply superb.Keka saang quite well,the original song has the feel of satin silk but Keka's rendering had the feel of Raw silk.Still her perfomance was the best of the evening.
Next was Himani.I have always liked Himani's voice and singing but I think she was exposed when she chose this Burman Da number from Prem Pujari picturised on Waheeda Rehman.She messed up with the words a couple of times...I wonder why JL kept quiet.She missed the subtelness of the song completely.When I cast my vote I will keep this performance in mind.Kalyanji Bhai in the end said that he has to give her another chance considering that she was not well.Her mentor AS complained about the judgement.Well; Rajeev from his Gharana got a Green when he did not deserve one.What about that Mr.AS?
Sharib chose Tere Mere Sapne from Guide.The song is picturised on Dev Anand,wherein he is not only expressing his love but making a commitment.A very tender amd mature(rightly mentioned by Lalit).The mentors praised him though IS showed some hesitation.Kalyanji Bhai rightly said the song selection was wrong.Sharib has done some superb singing,but is he aslo missing consistnecy?Still knowig the resuls I am happy that he has moved further.
Debojit chose Badi Suni Suni hai from Mili picturised on Amitabh Bachchan.Debojit is one of my favorites but I would say his performance was ok.
Irfan was the last one to come on stage.He chose Akela Hoon Main from Bat Ek Raat Ki.He sang Mohd Rafi song in Kishore Kumar style.Still I could immediately visulise Dev Anand( playing an out of work lawyer) riding a bicycle and singing.He caught the mood of FAKA MASTI very well and was applauded by audience.JL as always were ready with ammunation for members of ID Gharana.
I am fond of Irfan and am happy that he reached last twelve.
Will watch the 21st oct episode coming sunday.

They are brothers of Sulakshna abd Vijyeta Pandit but use the name Sen ....not sure though

Jatin and Lalit are pandit- they do not use the surname Sen- that was Dileep sen and sameer sen- anther music director jodi.
