Addendum to my previous response, if Rajeev belonged to ID or HR team, believe me u, there would be a hue & cry from the 3 relatives (JL, AS), but because he was their own, they were preening their feathers.... I want the best to win, but sometimes heart rules over mind and would want anyone from HR or ID team to win in the finals, though I know Sharib, Himani are good, just to cheeze that "Terrible Trio".

Rohan Sharma, unless you are Rajeev yourself replying in this forum (which I know is farfetched), your rebuttal does not make sense what I meant by if Rajeev was in HR or ID team was that if he was in their team and if he had to win, the terrible trio would have raised hell... you're so bent on promoting Rajeev, you're not paying attention, and thank God you're not on the panel, otherwise, Rajeev would have been crowned the king without giving others a chance, you would summarily dismissed others without even listening to them sing. This challenge is for whoever sings the best irrelevant of who it is or which gharana. Sharib used to be shaky in the beginning, but hear him sing now!!. But Debojit/Hema are still trumps singing wise...

Obviously Rohan u feel that Rajiv is the best of the lot and deserves his place. Of course, you are entitled to that opinion of yours. But you are not correct when you say that anyone who criticizes Rajiv has his/her own agenda. Pray, what do u think our agenda is ? To make sure Rajiv loses ? to what end? none of us here know rajiv personally (or anyone else for that matter). y would we wish that he loses? I personally just feel that a few of the singers in the group are better than rajiv, thats all .

I know I am not one of the judges. Nor am I qualified to be one. But the fact remains that in all the next rounds the singers will be judged not by the judges but by votes and sms by people like u and me. so in a way, whether u like it or not, we people are the judges.

dont get me wrong. i am also taken in by the heart warming story of a boy from the small town of Chamba , with little or no means who dreams of making it big in the music industry. He has no classical training, no experience, no godfather - just his talent to see him through. He passes stage after stage based on his emotion and honesty and wants to reach the top. If Rajiv actually wins, his story could make a blockbuster movie (u would have to add a heroine ofcourse.. 😉)

my only contention is that his lifestory should not be the basis of chosing him as the best singer. the best singer should be chosen on the basis of singing alone. rajiv is talented , no doubt, but needs polishing . he has potential, but he needs someone to hone him in his skills. The areas where he falters are sur and throw of voice. both these things are repairable by dedication and proper learning. There are songs which he will surely be able to sing well even now . That is y Adesh Srivastava has been good enough to make him sing a songg in one of his movies already. But the range of an accomplished singer he will acquire only after some time . He has already got a song recorded so he is on his way to fame and fortune. What Rajiv needs to do is to capilatize on the goodwill of people like Rohan (who obviously believes in him)and prove that he can be a better singer than he is now .

Koyal, Rohan sharma is definitely rajeev himself or else no one would say the things he has written.

Although portrayed as poor guy from chamba, I feel that the guy has connections - the way he was brought back and then given free ride to agnipariksha - are good examples.

He does have a OK voice but not to such an extent that "besura" like him shud be given this opportunity. After all its "SA RE GA MA PA" - first five "SUR" of the octave.

rajeev is a rubbish singer and no matter you guys shout that he is talented , he is not and he should go back to chamba and try again after some classes. AS has simply hyped him and thats it. dont belive me? see how janta kicks him out in the nest round!! 😆 hemachandra,sharib- best singers of the competition!
