Hemachandra is an excellant singer and should go through. The competition will come from Abhijeet who is another good singer - sings in his own voice and doesn't try to copy anyone. The only thing is that he might get a little overconfident or try to pick up a song that's not suited to his style of singing.
All in all, should be a nice contest to watch...

I saw the episode where Aadesh and Ismail got into a fight.. how sophisticated... But I felt that Aadesh and Jatin/Lalith were discouraging Joyeetha. Seemed very unprofessional. I think at this stage, the mentors shouldn't be allowed to talk after a performace since that effects the judge's decision.

Among guys I have singled out Hemachandra as the best singer. His voice quality is awesome. He sings with much more ease than other guys. His sur is flawless and he is consistent. I always wanted an SPB kind of voice in Hindi music but without the accent. Hema is perfect solution. I like neeladri's voice too, but he is very unpredictable. Among girls, I cannot decide between Nihira, Twinkle and Swananda. All of them are very nice singers. Twinkle is the most versatile of them all.
I would like to see Asha Bhonsle as a judge. She can prove to be perfect judge for this competition because she is the most versatile playback singer. Hope she is invited in the later rounds. Alka was a big disappointment. I thought she and aadesh together were a little mean to Twinkle.

Interesting suggestion mano123. I hadn't thought about it but she definitely would make an excellent judge.
Amongst the girls, though, I would like to add Ujjaini's name to the list as well.

Himani also is a good singer. According to me she is better than Twinkle. So my favourites for the final would be -

Nihira
Swananda
Himani
Twinkle(seems too overconfident)

You were correct...abhijeet did choose a song which did not suit his style of singing...jaana o mere jaana from sanam teri kasam.

Hemachandra is definately a very good singer but i think there is something lacking...he does not have too much of feel may be.....his voice is very very powerful and clear...also he is very sure of the sur....he stands a good chance of reaching the finals.

Among the girls...nihira, ujjaini, swananda are good....twinkle is good but i don't like her attitude but she may reach the finals ahead of himani....a lot will depend on the kind of judges they get on a particular day....
