Clarification from your reporter

Members and Ms. Bholi Bhali. I apologize for the statement made in the previous report about the Anti-Spam feature here: New Anti-Spam feature - experienced it?

I was not aware that such a system didn't exist. I may have been misled here. I was only going by what the IF Administrator Vijay told me on PM today. (See below)

I hope this clarifies the matter. I am only a Bhola Bhala reporter who was reporting what he was told by the Administrator.

And I am not a liar - thank you.

This is a temporary system which prevents MIDs or several posts coming from the same IP. It works almost automatically and it refreshes every 2 hours. Ask them to delete the cookies and try again. No problem Kavita. I generally hate sharing private IMs in a public forum - but here I had to clear my name.

and where in that PM, does it says that, ppl saying "good-bye" are banned or blocked???

so it is clear, that all ur friends who are blocked, were either spammers or MIS.

Yes Shady I was having the same problem day before yesterday. Although I could log into the IF, but it logged me out automatically every 10 minutes.

It doesn't say that anywhere. But the members who have been blocked have that part in common - very coincidental, I must say.

These members are old members, and this ID of theirs was not newly made.

As for the Anti-Spam thing, can you show me posts where these members have spammed? I've seen barely a handful of posts from them in the past few days.

And please clarify - does this Anti-Spam thing exist or not?

I know Appaji - logging out issue is a technical glitch. It's happened with people before.

Here actual IPs have been blocked. Some members still cannot log in from that IP.

IP - Internet protocol, basically the numerical address given to your computer when you log on (like 63.234.256.1 for example) - it's used to identify your computer on the internet

MIDs - I don't know, but I think it stands for Multiple IDs
