Brilliant Sanchita but dissapointing Alka

I had doubts about whether Alka is jealous of Sanchita since she has already established herself. Though I consider her a good singer ( I prefer Shreya and of course Nihira as better singers), I always gave her the benefit of doubt because of her vast experience. But what happened in last night's episode really makes me think otherwise.

Here is a rendition of "dard se mera daman bhar le " by Sanchita. This is one of Jagjit Singh's best compositions and speaks of his pain and suffering (evidently after the death of his son ). Latadidi with her significantly reduced quality of voice has done a great job in the original. Here Sanchita makes you cry with her own expression. Abhijeet and Bappi da were mesmerised and wholeheartedly gave A+ but Alka as usual gave only an A . To add to it she gave a stupid comment saying the high notes were weak . These comments sounded all the more foolish after Jagjit Singh , the composer himself complimented Sanchita by saying that she had taken some "Jagahe" better than even the original. Mind you, here is somebody giving comments knowing that the other rendition is by the great Latadidi.

Now, does'nt that raise serious doubts about Alka's intentions as far as Sanchita is concerned?

her biases tend to come through but i dont think she is jealous of shraddha

i remember one episode when she gave shraddha B+
diwakar A+ etc and i was in total agreement with her
this was the episode when diwakar sang the swades song

ultimately its the feel of the song that matters more

i can have a different opinion than the others also
but reverse therapy also works

if you think she has been misjudged by the judges ppl will vote more for that singer

Oh my God! Thank you very much Paresh bhai. So far I just heard people saying that Sanchita sang very well. My Goodness. This is extra-ordinary. Till now I had my doubt that between Sanchita, Pawni, and Abhro. Sanchita is way ahead. What expressions, what feel. Is Alka Yagnik ji on drugs that she gave just an A to her. If this performance deserves an A then on basis she has given A+ to other contestants.

thank god somebody else besides me noticed this too. sanchita has been the most consistent and has never got a A+ from Alka even for a brilliant performance. she thinks she is the best and the only one who knows about music. everyone else is a fool 😡 😡

I think Sanchita deserved a triple A+.. amazingly sung.. It brought tears in her mom's eyes and also mine.. 😊

I support that. This performance was extra-ordinary. This is a very difficult song to sing, specially giving the feel. It was one of the best ghazal ever sung by Lata ji. I surely think that a 13 year old singing this song so brilliantly surely deserves triple A+.

Your comment forced me to listen to the song again and again. But I still find it extra-ordinary.
