I was away from the forum for few days, and just came back to check up what was going on... I am totally shocked... What happened to the charm and fun that we had in our forum? What happened to all of us here? Why are we taking things so personally and becoming so sensitive... I dont think we would be even doing all this in our real life that we are doing here in the Virtual life... We are here to have fun, forget the worries of real life and have masti with all the friends out here in the Cyber Space...

Why not just have fun, forget all that has happened till now and start a new one again... I read most of the comments of having Groupism in the forum... Now, as mentioned before, HR fans made a group, Vinit fans made a group, Himani fans, Hemu fans, Nihira fans etc etc made a group of their own... We all discussed among ourselves.. Now there came the groupism... If we take out from our mind regarding the groupism, we all can be happy for ever... Each one is a part of a group... In the list of lacs of members or call it thousands of members in SRGMP forum, there are many groups here and one cannot be close to all of them, one can be close to only a certain group of people... Now, forget that groupism which is more of personal issue, and get back again and join hands with each other and enjoy it together...

Why takes things personally? Why attack other members? Why do we have to get ourselves hurt and make others also hurt? Life is beautiful... Life is given once by god... If we do not like something, just ignore it and leave... For that, "kyun apne aapko dukh dena aur kyun doosron ko dukh dena?" Why attack each other aur din kharab karna? Lets all enjoy life... There is lot of fun things too that we can do more than all this, why not go ahead and think of it... Why make others feel bad? Agar hum doosron ko khushi nahin de sakte, toh dukh kyun dena? We need the love in this forum... In this life, every1 cannot be the same... Paanchon ungliyaan ek jaise nahin ho sakti... We will ve different point of view... If you do not like a comment, just ignore it... why, stress on it? Why do we have to impose our view on others? Its human nature to make others accept what one feel... but why be like that? Cant every1 express their own point of view... If you dnt feel like accepting it, ignore it, then see, how peaceful it is here....

The Bottom line is: Accept things, dont take it personally, lets bring back peace in the forum again... Its so hurting to see own brothers and sisters and friends arguing like this...

Anu great post.!!!!👏

Thanks Anu for the nice post. I am an old member of the forum but I am not active as much as many others who joined much later. I come here to occassionally to start a discussion topic on the golden era music and watch some videos of the SRGMP episodes that I miss. And I also do respond to some good topics and sometime participate in healthy debate.

No one has ever hurt me because I am here only occassionally and I never made any comments on anyone. I have made some humorous posts/comments on HR/Gajji but I never crossed the line.

I do enjoy my occassional visits to the forum but I do experience the groupism in the other sense when I find some folks who could have responded to my topics with their knowledge and interest, read but never respond or appreciate them. But if the similar topics come from 'friendlier' and more active members, they just jump on it. I have not seen this on the other music forums that I do or used to visit. But I have no complaints. For me the quality and the contents of the post is all that matters and my response to/interest in it does not depend on the contents writer, even if he/she is new to the forum and totally unknown to me.

Over the past few weeks I have been thinking of some good golden era music related discussion topics but I will wait for things to get settled here so that the members are back with the same level of enthusiasm that used be there before.

Anu,

Great post.Very well written.

Yes, let bygones be bygones, we are not choosing life partners here that we need perfect match, we are not choosing soulmates either.

We are all virtually linked and this common link here is SRGMP programs.,our tastes, our wavelength and our ability to touch one another some way that has bound us. Ideal personal traits is not required here. Adaptability is required.Co- existence is required.Lets learn to live together. Here we found friends, sisters ,brothers and we have lived happily .We have also had tiffs but we rose above that.

The most important thing here is trust.Trust to believe.Trust to see the fine side .Trust to accept.Trust to hope and trust to realise that no one is against us.Keep the dirty word "doubt" out of it.It only brings in hatred dispute and bitterness.

I am not anyone's spokesman here but I will tell you something.I trust my Dev Team totally not because they are my friends not because they are in power, not because I am trying to butter them up and not for any vested interest.I trust them because I have seen them to be fair so far. There have been decisions against me too but I trust when they have taken it there must have been a reason , right or wrong after interaction we sorted it out, not carried a grudge forward.

Every story has two sides, some get to hear only one side and judge. Please dont do that. Clarify when there is still time in a civilised way and sort it out.

Lets learn to look forward and not let old acts catch up and mar our present or future. Lets forget this as a required exercise and carry no grudge, no hatred forward , no insinuations forward. At the end of the day, we are all still friends.

Lets please look forward to the bright days ahead.

Cheers !!

I would like to make a special mention on the point which many of them have stressed on... These points mentioned below are for everyone who feel, the discussion should be done in general public and not through PMs

Discussing issues in PM and not in the general public... There are varried people visiting the forum... Suppose one newbie enters in the forum to make friendship, and suddenly the person comes across the posts that are in discussion, do you think the person will stay in this forum any longer? There are kids of age 12 and 13 visiting this forum... Would it be nice to discuss things where these kids too read those posts? Wont that affect those kids personally? Moreover, there is always something called privacy... Take out an example... Two Friends have a misunderstanding over an issue... Would it be nice to raise the voice in general public rather than to solve it among themselves... Now, when we are in anger, we are uncontrollable, we do not know what we say... Suppose, we mention certain things, which should not be, the person in the opposition starts screaming, and we have the fire heated up again instead of pouring water into it... So, in my personal opinion, there are certain things, which has to be discussed only in private and not in general public...

Again this is just my opinion..

Abhi,
Although I agree to lot of your points, but brother you could have used some better metaphors.

Secy of Microcosm, but I lost out by three votes, because girls in college are more in number, and the girl in question was the to-be-girlfriend of the Class Rep. You cannot eliminate groupism; you should learn to tolerate it and organise it peacefully.

Very well said abhi... I truly agree with you on this... Groupism exists everywhere... Groupism was there during the ages when India was fighting for Independence... Though the motive was the same, the way of approaching the motive was different frm person to person and so there exists groupism... We ve always learnt to be a part of a group... And we have to learn to be a part of it...
