Priya, Excellent points. Just a few things inorder to defend my stance and also tell you where I feel I have gone wrong.
First about my comment regarding character. When I say reflection of character- I don't mean bad or good. I mean ok look here is someone trying to be nice and your still using him as a punching bag. Is that nice. But, I can see how my comment may come off the way you described. One because it was so general. So someone could take character to mean anything. You took it as me saying they are bad. At the end of the day I do believe all we say and what we put in the universe is all a reflection of who we are. Once it's out it's out and it plays its part. But, maybe I will definitely try to understand from your point of view because this will help me grow.
The whole reporter thing is a pain. The amount of yellow journalism is uncalled for. I am in support of others who feel the same way. But, it can be stressful and it does get interesting when it's always becomes a hot bed of topic when it's about HR, and not anybody else. Anyway, Atleast I feel that way.
About where I am coming from: I love SRGMP, love music. ALL types. Favourite singers are all the oldies. Nobody really favourite right now except maybe SHaan for his singing and very important to me character. I like HR for changing from conventional styles of music to breakthrough in rhythms and beats and emerging new voices. Loved his voice and still do. Just significantly overplayed and now getting irritated by that part. Still think he is a brilliant composer and his concert was brilliant.
NOw coming from that angle and walking into this forum listening to continous comments not necessarily about his music can be overbearing. Of course you cant curb freedome of expression. But, what happens is that when negativity overflows then that energy continues to build and build and I believe in an unhealthy way. That much negative energy towards one person has to come back some day. We all beging to feel its negative effects. We came out with distaste. Expecially thinking of the young people who read these posts.
I can't tell u what the answer is, but I know I can put a few words here in there to let it from becoming a little out of hand.
From my side, I will reign myself in and watch my words carefully. I don't want to offend , but debate if necessary. I would not want to hurt anybody's sentiments.
