Maybe your mic batteries need to be replaced. Try that before getting a new mic. 😉

I know that problem, even I thought my mic had gone caput and later found that it was the batteries.

But many microphones don't have a battery.

Music brings people together – quite regrettably, we have managed to do just the opposite on this Forum with this contest. I am a staunch proponent of Freedom of Speech. I make a decision and then stand by my decision.

With all the ill will that has been showered since the last results were announced, all in very bad taste, Musaed and I have taken to decision to bow out of this contest. To all the supporters of our Gharana, we did the best we could, given the environment we had. Musaed has done very well - in my books he has won the best male voice. He has received so many requests from so many of you to sing your personal favorites. He plans to do that, time permitting. It was truly a pleasure to have had all your support – thanks a lot !

Musaed and Rani, you are both wonderful people. I wish you all the best. I will always be there for you. You have been tremendous support for me. You were my Seabiscuits - while I thought I was mentoring you, in reality, you were teaching me so much!! Thank you very much and don't you guys ever change. I will never forget the Lamhe we shared together.

My Peers, Appa and Sahana: I would like to congratulate Sahana on her well deserved victory - you showed tremendous poise and strength through some real trying times. I also appreciated you standing up for me – although "politically incorrect" but you did it. Appa, you were very lucky to have had Ummm and Sunitha in your Gharana. Sunitha is a better person than she is a singer and she is a tremendous singer - so that says it all. I wish her all the best. I will just say I enjoyed supporting Debu and Nihira with you – good choices and agreed with you on that. Those were the good old days. Hope we can still be friends after this contest!! Badey Badey Contests Mein Aise Choti Choti Batein to Hote Rehtee Hain.

I have always respected the judges' decision in this contest. They are fabulous – no doubt about that. I had predicted the Final 3, one week before the decision had come out, and sent congratulatory PMs to Pradarshak and Sahana telling them essentially that. There is no doubt in my mind that we have the best judges and I can appreciate why they take time – the contestants were just lovely!!

Finally, I wish all the moderators well. I got to know some of you very well. You have done the best you can with everything else that you had to do. You have a very powerful position and I hope you exercise such powers with a lot of compassion. Do not forget you were members like us at some point and time. We are all music lovers here and, hopefully, everyone joined here for that purpose. My best wishes are with all of you. I have always been a Peace lover and that will never change. Let Peace prevail …….. I am off on vacation - yes – again!! As Sahana once said of me: "He lives life to the fullest". She stole my line ……

I agree with Juggy ji, and hope u and Museed Reconsider as well. I understand ur view though.Yet hope u guys partake..

I would add more yet Im sure u have ur reasons 4 want to leave, yet I still request that u guys return. Since I hate when anyone leaves 4 any reason.

I dont know what goes on in the background (PMs etc) but there are some new posts in the "mentors'" thread which echo my sentiment.

Bhai, this way to resolve "conflict" is surely not what we want to teach some of the youngsters here on IF. There are disagreements in every family and maybe some harsh words thrown as well. The best way to solve it is to discuss and not just back out.

Jo ho gaya ho gaya, please lets move on and take this to completion...
