First of all, thanks questji, for this beautiful post. Secondly, I agree with the above opinions, there are so many classics in Hindi movies, how come Khalnayak, mohra even LOC-kargil has come in the list. after two years even aksar or Aashique banaya aapne will be listed in the all time classics.

This list kind of 🤢
There has to be some additional criteria than the ones that Qwest ji has listed...

* Made an instant impact on the listeners
* After watching the movie, people liked them even more
* Have at least three songs that were superhit
* Have been etched into our memories forever

Or else we wouldn't have:

Lucky above Bees Saal Baad...
Kaante above Saraswati Chandra...
Betaab above Mere Mehboob...
Khalnayak above Anarkali...

Wonder if this list was compiled by the peers in the music industry/included the sales volume and revenue/or was it public voting...

Thanks Questji.

Although there are some names which cannot be called classics. One should be able to recall a hit song from that movie.

Awaiting the rest of the list. 😊

Bhaskar Da and jaya ji see that I also do not agree with there choice. But at least I do give them some credit for there effort. May be by seeing there choice we can come up with our own choices.

It was a monumental task to identify such masterpieces, given that Bollywood has produced over 30,000 movie soundtracks. We selected some of the all-time-hit albums that have:

Made an instant impact on the listeners After watching the movie, people liked them even more Have at least three songs that were superhit
  • Have been etched into our memories forever
