Personally though - I have preferred Arati over Sandhya Mukherjee, but maintain that she is the greatest 😊

Ya, that is another great song.

Chitra Singh also has some wonderful Bangla songs, i.e. 'Akash meghe dhaka, shawon dhara jole'.

I haven't really heard her Hindi songs or may be do not remember, but her bengali numbers were very popular in our house.

songs like - "Jaare ja phire ja"," Ujjwal ek jhak payra", "Ai brishti jhepe",

"Jibone ja kichu chilo", "Shojoni go kotha shono" and of course "potho ccharo". are some of the songs I can think about at this time. But it sure is nostalgic..

One of my fav number frm my kid days was O Bak bak bakum Bakum and amader chhuti chhuti. I still luv thm

'O Bak Bak Bakum' - is that the song that the actress (don't remember who) in the movie sings on the roof and I think it's Bishwajeet who secretly listens to the song or something like that.

Uttam Kumar was the real romantic hero in bengali films.. I don't know how he carried it off so easily..

The eyes and the smile, buddy... those just killed 😳

But I liked Uttam best in 'Nayak' - something he fitted in to the T. BTW - I share my birthday with him 😳😳
