I joined IF during quite late stage of C2005, after Nihira's elimination. I was really angry 😡😡 – wanted to voice out somewhere, my friend Ashu informed me about IF and I registered one day. Who knew about the wonderful journey ahead.
Old members are aware of the battlefield situation of the forum that time. Given one chance every members of one camp were ready to tear off the opponent camp members. Poor Jem was totally going bonkers that time. But I wasn't a nice kid either - jumped immediately into the battleground and formed alliances within couple of days. Together with Appa, Abhi, Skudbhai, Rahul, TaarCheera, Temasek and many others , bashed many people of the 'other camp' those days. If someone digs out all those old threads – Bhaskar will sure ban me now for instigating fights! 😛 😆😆
In between all those chaos – Abhi was banned (first time), and man, what a fight I had with Priya and Bhaskar over PM. 😆😆 After that fight was over we formed a trusting relationship and I am enjoying that comradely till date – it became stronger day by day. 😊
Few of the other members apart from our 'gang' also warmly welcomed me – first one was Angela – I still call her 'little angel' 😊, till date she is one of the sweetest people I know in IF. Zahida and Varsha ji was also very friendly from the day one of our interaction. Slowly I made many friends in the 'enemy' camp too – like Manisha, Bratati and Anshuman. Apart from the bashing I use to also enjoy the music related threads by Kishore Bhakta, N Sinha ji and Abhi.
One day Bhaskar asked me if I am interested to become a Viewbie – not knowing what I am stepping into, I agreed! Barnalidi use to provide lots of moral support those early clueless days of my new job. But slowly I started enjoying that too and in the process earned titles such as Pandu Hawaldar and TaleBan! 😳
Now let's shuffle the timeline and talk about some great people I came across in my life in IF.
Sahana and Jaya are two extraordinary woman I found in IF – great articulated thought process, well balanced IQ and EQ – true representative of today's Indian woman – You GO GIRLS! 👍🏼
I found unconditional friendship of many in IF - Bhaskar, Adi, Daisy, Abhi to name a few. We crossed the border of cyberspace and entered into each other 'life'. I never knew virtual friendship can be like this.
My day seems to be incomplete without the regular dosage of humor and 'backhand slap posts' by Shady, Deep, Appa, Jadooo and few others. Skudbhai too, before he registered himself at Shadi@barbadi.com 😒
I came across the jovial bunch of youngsters bubbling with energy (by their attitude – not age) who made me feel young too - Angie, Vinnie, Shubham, Amogh, Bratati to name a few.
I don't have a sister in real life – but my life in IF is blessed with some great sisters – best of them are two Anu, Anuradha and Anushree – they never fail to brighten up my day! 😊
I enjoy healthy debates – naturally relished the interaction with Qwerety, Anshuman, Karan etc. Special mention of Rahul – he is my alter ego – also we share the same birthday– that makes the whole situation spookier! 😉
Talking about IF without our resident research group people, Qwest dada, Vijay, Swar_Raj or Barnali di is impossible. They transformed a musical reality show forum into an information resource center of Music. 👏👏👏
I never actively took part in the chatty threads for prolonged time – but love those guys too – Respect, Nonny, Sri, Sangeeta, Chukki…ummm why I can't remember any guys name 🤔…ooh ok – Iron, Ahmed et all! Although Sunil bhai is now resident member of the chat threads; but I am a big fan of him – due to several reasons. He actually influenced me to write my first serious post here.
I miss one of the great friends of mine in IF – Mistimoni, we had 100s of PM exchanged – regarding music, literature and everything under the sun. Exactly the same age group of mine, but growing up in my neighboring country made such little difference in out cultural taste buds. She is busy with her research work now! 😭😭
So far my life in IF was a GREAT one and my expectations from the future are nothing less either. 😃
