Shaan-another Sonu Nigam in the making? - Page 2

Shaan's album "Tanha Dil" is better than any of the Sonu's Albums So Shaan has already proved his worth.....

But both are different kind of singers.... Sonu is more an emotive singer and shaan is not.... tht is why most of the sad songs are sung by Sonu and not shaan....

So you cant compare the both singers

I personally thing that Sonu has a better range and has more trained voice... He can emote a lot of pathos, can carry romantic numbers just too well, and is equally good in fast numbers.....

From 'Tanhaai', to 'Hame jad se mohabbat ho gayi hai', to 'Tumse milke dil ka hai jo haal kya kahe' to 'Dheere jalna' - he has done it all with equal brilliance...

Shaan, I feel is gr8 with the masti waale light songs.. Love 'Tanha dil' and 'Suno na' (Jhankar beats).. Not sure if he will be able to carry a 'Tanhai' or 'Soona man ka aangan' though!

Me too.i fully agree but I like Shaan's masti songs too.His "musu musu hasi" was too good.

When Sonu was the host, it seemed as if no one could be better than him. He was the best. Even Pakistani viewers loved him.

But surprise surprise, Shaan came along and literally stole our hearts! Now, it seems as if there can't be a better SRGMP host than him. I specially like the bewildered look on his face when things start moving away from the script (unless that itself is scripted! 😆 )When he smiles, his eyes seem to vanish!

Let's hope that whoever else comes as SRGMP host will also make a place in our hearts...

These two Sonu & Shaan (more Sonuthan Shaan)were with Saregama when the show was really fabulous.

But my heartfelt sympathy for the next host..😭😭 - kaha faas jayga bechara..😭

agree with you. (yeh bhee kya din dekhne ko mil rahe hain. golden moment, no? 😉)

not to take anything away from him, i did feel that he was uncomfortable under the arc-lights. c2005 was a very big stage and i did think he was a bit out of place. maybe he was caught up in the middle having to please different mentors/ GS/ contestants.

in shaan's favor though i wld say that so far we've heard him primarily with the masti songs. he just might surprise us if he's given some of those sad numbers... Never know till someone's been tried out.

Oh yes, this looks like one of those rare occasions when you are agreeing! 😊 IF's golden moment indeed!

I think Shaan needs to move on in life, sing more songs, get more creative. That's why even Sonu left. If a programme is well-made, it is going to succeed even if the anchor changes. Let's see what happens.
