Wait... Don't we already know that TV are the next one to get out... meaning India has already forgiven Sharib, at least for the ensuing week? Or is this episode after the exit of TV?

If one faux pas is going to end up with Banjyotsna/Sharib costing their chance to win this competition, then Sharib better hope that India forgives his reasons for not performing well this week. As events turned out, Sharib spoke out only to get egg back on his face. This jodi had given it their all when performing last week, even getting good rankings from the Groovy Gurus.

This Thursday episode of Ek Main Aur Ek Tu has all the makings of high drama and disappointment. Singing the remixed version of the hit song Bin tere sanam, Banjyotsna /Sharib were way off mark in matching notes. Keeping in mind that the contest is on its last leg and every performance matters, a visibly upset Hariharan advised the jodi to refuse songs that do not match their scales. "It's unfair on the participants if they are forced to sing something that is not suitable for them," said Hariharan.

Hearing this, Sharib said, "The song was not our choice as it did not match Banjyotsna's range and our first choice was "Chod do anchal." Director Gajendrra Siingh gets the music directors, Anand Sharma and Anujj Kapoor, on the floor to reply to the accusation. Sharma made it very clear that the songs are chosen according to their capability and "singing half note higher or lower should not be an excuse for a bad performance."

Kapoor was even more upset and angry and he asked Sharib to speak the truth. "The real cause was his ill health, tiredness, an allergic inflammation on his lips and bare minimum practice during the week," he pointed out. Banjyotsna agreed that the song was indeed of their choice and reprimanded Sharib for creating a controversy for nothing.

As Sharib stood shamefaced and apologised, Hariharan said, "The bottomline always lies with the performer. Today, singing includes performing, but, singing in sur is most important." Leslie Lewis offered them a chance to sing in his film, but, cautioned them saying, "Don't ever mess up a given opportunity."

Will Sharib's dream of buying a house for his parents and taking them on Haj be fulfilled on winning this contest? Only next week will tell us if Indian viewers have forgiven or penalised Sharib for this goof up of passing the buck.

This is all a publicity stunt.

With PH out, ZeeTV was afraid of a backlash..that's why this sudden pouring in of "sur me gayo" type of articles. How come there are so many articles on participants had zee not wanted this??

First Vishwanathm,then Vishwas,Rajeev and now Sharib.Wonder what will be the story for Aishwarya..

kabhie gala mei "ganth" hai (or whatever that word was in c2005), kabhie bimar hai, kabhie partner kharab hai, phir low scores kyoon mile, and now yeh sab musicians kee galtee hai- yaar, what a pattern. this is called consistency! 😉 lagta rona iskee fidrat mei hai. always blaming others? yaar, kal star ban jayega aur iska music and shows flop karein, he will toh blame us. koi bachaye isse.

theek hai, we cant do anything about those folks who believe everything is scripted. unke liye toh everything in life is some giant conspiracy. u know, to get them. LOL

No we all want UA to win. See how they compelemnt each other. If Ujjaini is ordinary Aishwarya is outstanding and vice versa. It is not that only one can sing in the jodi and the other cant. Even are praise and appreciation their feet looks grounded.

Absolutely right. I can understand all the attention is going to their head.

I hope ultimately the more down to earth, talented and the more decent of them win. Though singing is the criteria it is not good to have a feeling a superiority and look down upon other contestants.

i'm sure sharib was telling the truth, but banjyotsna probably said they get to choose their songs as she was scared of gajji and the md's.

anything is possible...may be this all is just for publicty or this is reality as zee tv all the time say they always make a good reality tv shows and here we go .....saregama is one of them i guess
