Unfortunately it is MD willing that makes a singer successful. And all of us (eventhough you do not believe in it) know that all MDs were more in favor of Nihira than Vinit. Vinit is a good singer and I sincerely wish him all the best (no sarcasm here). But he certainly was not better than Nihira. Nihira -- 100, Vinit-- 79 and that is my opinion (and opinion of majority here). You certainly are free to have your opinion.

In order to get more votes, you only need one word "VICTIM". If you can play the role of a victim, you will get the votes.

He has music contracts. He is singing for a Bhatt production movie. Bhatts' have this uncanny ability to tap good music. Rememebr "woh lamhe, woh baatei" from Zeher sung by Atif Aslam and "bhige honth tere pyasa dil hai mera" by Kunal Ganjawala? (Kunal got many awards --filmfare,Zee- for this song). These songs took the singers to new heights. Hope same thing happens to him.

And he is coming to US for a stage show after April 30th.

Debojit 'show of gratitude' at Judges Field today

Guwahati, April 21: The build-up is massive, the enthusiasm mind-boggling. When "Voice of India" Debojit Saha performs here tomorrow — for the first time after winning a TV reality show — it will be a "show of gratitude" to the people of Assam. After all, it was their votes that sent him to the top spot in the contest. Addressing a news conference here today, Debojit said tomorrow's show (as well as three successive programmes at Jorhat, Tezpur and Dibrugarh) would be his expression of "heartfelt and sincere gratitude" to the people of Assam. As he himself acknowledged, it was their unstinted support that helped him win Zee TV's Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2005. The star singer will perform at Jorhat on Sunday, followed by shows at Tezpur on Monday and Dibrugarh on Tuesday. The All Assam Students Union (AASU) is making elaborate arrangements at the Judges Field to make the show a grand success. The singer's popularity has forced the AASU to make entry to the show free. The programme will start at 4.45 pm tomorrow. A leading private event management group has been entrusted with the task of building a suitable stage for Debojit. "The stage will be quite high, so that spectators can see and enjoy Debojit's show from far away," an official of the event management group promised. Debojit revealed that he has already signed contracts for singing in two Bollywood films. After completing his tour of Assam on April 26, the singer will fly to Mumbai. There he will record his film song in one of Mukesh Bhatt's movies. Debojit will then leave for the US on April 30 for a stage performance. "Whatever I am today is all because of the love and care given to me by the people of the Northeast as well as other parts of the country. There is no dearth of talent in the Northeast. The need of the hour is to get the right kind of exposure. The Indian television reality shows have been able to explore hidden talents across the country," he said. AASU adviser Sammujjal Bhattacharyya said Debojit has once again proved that music could be a great unifying force. He was confident that tomorrow's show would once again prove this fact. After the news meet, Debojit went to meet Bhupen Hazarika at GNRC Hospital here and sought the music maestro's blessings. Hazarika wished Debojit a bright future.He encouraged him and said all Assam was behind the budding singer. Given the concerns over security, the Kamrup (metropolitan) district administration and Guwahati police have made special arrangements. The city traffic branch has chalked out plans to divert traffic on arterial roads, particularly Mahatma Gandhi Road, during the programme.

The best singer on the SRGMP show were Nihira, Himani, Hema, Vinit and Debu in that order. Now... let's talk about Rajiv. Rajiv .... who? The guy who could not sing one song right? The guy who could not ever feel confident on stage? c'mon..... He is being rated #1. Something is wrong. 😭 😭 . Something is seriously wrong with viewers. I amgoing to post a new article on forum with the link to the website through which you can vote. All you passionate listeners are requested to go to that site and vote for the rightful jodi which is obviously not SR.

Otherwise nobody is dumb over here to believe that Vinit is better then Nihira and Hema............Actually it is otherway. Hema and Nihira were the best.........Sharib is better then Vinit............Rather I would say that among Deboo and Vinit, Deboo deserved to win and not vinit......Obviously you have formed your opinion but this is my opinion so no offense to you. Its just I am talking about Vinit........Thats what I feel.

Coming to vinit getting offers, Vinit has got offers only from HR. Till date I have not heard any other music directors coming to Vinit with offers. But you know that Deboo has got offers from HR, Pritam singh etc.......hey hey heye hey😆

To quote from my post in another thread 'If you think of C2005 finals unbiased and in terms of quality singers, Vishwas should have been among the top 6 places along with Hemu, Debo, Sharib and Abhijit Ghoshal, and then possibly Vinit beating Niladri for the 6th spot. But it was not to be..' I think lots of music lovers will agree to this one. So there were other male singers in the competition who were better than Vinit... And for Nihira, she was way above all the other singers combined together..

Challenge 2005 results may not seem fair because what started out as a hunt for talent-an original voice for playback singing ended up as a battle of egos between the mentors and the people of the country.Unfortunately very few voted believing in the talent of their candidate.Maharashtra being cosmopoliton couldn't do the same for Nihira.Anyway it's all in the past now.

In EMET they have made an attempt to combine regions. Instead of blaming GS all the time,lets view this contest objectively.
This time the participants are fully aware that not just singing,but their performance abilities are being judged.They should be more careful in choosing their songs.Now that the jodis are made,they should study each other's strengths and weaknesses and choose songs to suit their genre and voice.They are all here for the exposure they are going to get and know that genuine talent will not go un noticed.
Instead of writing rude comments about the judges,we should understand that they are doing their jobs.Today's video albums demand performance and karisma.

By now the participants are smart enough to know what appeals to the public.Many friends of mine had commented that although Nihira is a better singer,Himani's songs touched their hearts.I couldn't disagree strongly although Nihira is my favourite because ID's choice of songs for her was not correct. When the public is involved,popularity of the song is very important."Technically difficult" and good attempts mean nothing to the general public.

Not all singers can mangage duets and jugalbandis on their own....infact few songs sound good if sung solo when the original is a duet.

IMO, None of the participants has a right to give an opinion on the format now.They knew what they were in for before the show began.Janta Janardhan Judges will decide...who cares what is right?

In EMET, Except for Hrishikesh and Sharib's singing, I am not a fan of anybody else. But I have started liking some of their singing and they are really improving and getting better. For say it is Twinkle and Vishwaas, and even Ujjaini too. But I have developed a liking for Twinkle and Vishwaas pair although I am not their fan. But in this show they are definitely best and have all-round abilities..........
