Bappi weighs one gold chain less!

The composer gave away one of his many gold chains to Ek Main Aur Ek Tu contestants

The event has to be spectacular if it prompted Bappi Lahiri to part with one of his prized possessions – a gold chain. At the Bappi Lahiri special on Zee's Ek Main Aur Ek Tu to be telecast this Friday, the composer presents contestants Vishwas and Twinkle with his gold chain.

According to a source, "We had wanted Bappida to be a guest-judge for a while now. When we suggested this, he immediately wanted all the contestants to sing his songs. At first we were reluctant. But finally we relented and were glad that we gave in."

Bappi was on seventh heaven to hear contestants sing his songs. Contestants Banjyotsana and Sharib sang Bappi's 'Intehaa ho gayi'. But the high point was when Vishwas and Twinkle sang 'Mujhe nau-lakha manga de re'.

So impressed was he by the duo that he spontaneously took off one of his gold chains and presented it to the duo saying, "Since I am a gold man I consider gold very lucky. I would like to give you two a chain."

Bappi also sings the 'Bombay Nagariya' track from Taxi No 9211 in the episode.

This confirms that BS and TV are in this week (which was anyway expected).. So does anyone know who is out?

Not an unexpected reaction from Bappida. As as person, he is a very good human being, very emotional, and always helpful. At one point of time Mithunda and Bappida did endless social work away from the focus of the media, and no one knew.

But last week we had another person as a celebrity judge who calls the press even if he sneezes once. 😆

Any one wants to bet.. before the end of the day..there would be a poll discussing :

1.Should Twinkle keep the chain

2. Should they sell it and divide the money between themselves.

3. Should Bappida have given it to TV

4. Was it a publicity stunt

Exactly. This forum has not been interesting now a days. Please post the topics related to SRGMP EMET Atleast I am not interested in reading interviews and articles published in 1985.... First and foremost, the highlighted statement was meant in jest. Most of us don't feel much about the Saregamapa EMAET- so we try to see the funny side of it.. optimism you know.. that does not mean we don't really care for the participants.Each of us have our own favourites.What we all are bugged about is the format of the show where singing takes a backseat and chemistry takes the driver's seat.

However, if you say the other musical threads or articles bore you- one advice don't go to those threads. There are still some of us..who enjoy reading them and learning a little more about all those legends whom we did not have the privilage to meet or listen to . The priceless collections on them and the efforts the people put on to revive them despite their hard schedules is laudable. I am ever indebted to them. I have learnt so much in this section .

Definition of interesting topic is entirely ones own choice.If you so desire, you could start one.If others find it interesting they may join in.
