Its been a while since I heard this one so not sure...

"edi" as in "foot-sole" se dhoop kaise udegi? Are you sure its "dhoop" and not "dhool" 😕

Though, why would he talk about "dhool" and then "shaam"... It probably IS "dhoop" though I cant understand the relevance...

Dhool?? 😆 That makes sense to me! She must have had dirty feet.

It is dhoop juggy Ji - for sure!

Now "Edi" also means door step if I am not wrong 😕

So it means - 'where sundrops used to reflect from your doorstep'

What do people think about Gulzar's lyrics in 'Bunty aur Babli'? Hasn't he 'dumbed down' the lyrics to suit the current generation?

After the peppy 'Kajra Re' in 'Bunty Aur Babli' rocked the nation, the soulful 'Poochhe Jo Koi Meri Nishani' in 'Yahaan' is again on everyone's lips. But Gulzar does not want to take credit for the success of the songs of 'Yahaan', composed by Shantanu Moitra.

Although films gave him mass recognition, Gulzar personifies poetry. It does not bother him that true admirers of 'sher-o-shairi' are becoming rare these days. "Poetry comes from your heart. It is not important whether there are enough people to read, understand and admire it," asserts Gulzar, who was in the national capital recently.

Personally I think – this was not needed! There are many peppy song writers in the industry who can continue the permutation – combination of the words such as soniye-mahiye-isq-pyar-mahabbat and churn out 100 songs per months!
