😆...I am definitely one of the two. Frankly Juggyji, I can't thank you enough. So thanks once more...the song is truly hatke and addictive....can't think of another word for it. I have already listened to it 9 times.😃..Both GD and Hemantda are fantastic.

I enjoyed your thread but do not understand the language, but enjoyed and got a chance to meet lot of people here.

I can't decide. Was Hemant Kumar better as a singer or as a music director. When I hear his compositions such as "kahan le chale ho, bata de musafir", I feel he was far more talented as a music director. But when I hear him singing "yaad kiya dil ne kahan ho tum", I feel he was a singer of the highest order!

punjini ji, you are simply Brilliant. He is a very talented person may be he also could be scientics or Astronaut but I think he did not pursue either one with full dedication. Then again how we even we can say that. But he was very successful man at his time.

I always felt that a person who can compose music has to have an IQ level higher than one who just sings whatever she/he is asked to sing by an MD. And if a person can both sing and compose brilliantly, you can imagine his IQ level. So it was with Hemant Kumar.

I love hemanta da 's songs. Some of the bengali numbers are awesome. I loved the following :

" runner chteche tai jhum jhum ghanta bajhchhe raate"
" o nadi go,ektu kotha sudhai tobu tomare"
" kono ek gaayer bodhur kotha tomai shonai shono"
"Charono dharite diyo go ammare" from dadar kirti.

He has soo many masterpieces.
