Despite loss in 'Sa Re Ga Ma Pa', Vinit sure of future

Vinit Singh, considered as the favourite to be crowned as the voice of India in the musical talent show "Hero Honda Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2005", is shocked by his defeat but is putting it behind him and looking ahead to a successful singing career.

The Lucknow boy, who lost to Assam's Debojit in a photo-finish grand finale of the show here Feb 24, is still coming to terms with his defeat. "I am very happy for Debu bhaiyya. He has worked hard to get where he has. But I don't understand what happened. Of course I wanted to win. And I was pretty sure I would," said Vinit. In the viewer votes Debojit got around 30 million votes from the east zone, as compared only to 15 million votes from Vinit's north zone. Eventually Debojit emerged victorious by a margin of 0.2 percent votes. In fact, Debojit's victory came as a surprise to the entire Sa Re Ga Ma Pa team. Vinit's friend and another contestant Himani Kapoor, who was voted out from the show earlier, was also baffled. "I always felt Vinit would win. He had the confidence and he seemed to have an edge. Everyone liked Vinit. So what went wrong?" she queried. That's a question Vinit's family and friends are also asking. But Vinit is confident about the future. He said: "There are so many contestants from 'Indian Idol' and 'Sa Re Ga Ma Pa' who didn't quite make it to the top. But today they are on their way up. By god's grace I am already recording songs with my mentor Himeshji (music director Himesh Reshammiya).

"'Sa Re Ga Ma Pa' gave me a head start. Now let's see where I go."

Why is Himani wondering "what went wrong" when Vinit is voted out - why didn't she wonder "what went wrong" when Nihira was voted out? Does is *really* believe that she is the "true winner among girls" but Debo isn't the "true winner over all" - though they both stayed on because of public voting? Why the double standard Himani? Himani is already a shameless girl. The day she made a threat to walk-out, that itself shows how intelligent how good she is ? And along with vinit she is also an arrogant ugly faced girl. So if this question is made by a girl like Himani, there is nothing to get surprised. Its very clear that she is such an idiot lady. And due to this nature, she is not going to come up even though to some extent she may sing well.

my question is why is even Vineet (leave alone Himani) shocked at his own defeat. Did he really believe that he deserved to win over Nihira and Hemachandra. Well no. Then why the shock?? Is it complacency or simple greed that stirred this reaction?? Amongst the lesser talented, I am glad that the better mortal has won. Way to go Debo..

well alot of people abroad were thinking that Vineet would win since he some quality in him and Nihria as well when they said one winner than all thought Vineet however after the walkout and nonsense of HR the thoughts were no longer with Vineet instead with hiscontender since he had more support and votes in his hometown unlike Vineet so really should not havebeen a shock actually the opposite would havebeen if more people started to support Vineet. Just to let U know I am neutral and supported neighter!
