Good Topic. Personally I think these composers will forget everything once they go back to business and not hesitate to use the voice that sells.
It is all about money these days. No place for egos unlike the old days.

Jatin Lalit were really good. They made some great music. I heard Karunya sing the song from Hum Tum last night on Indian Idol. Really nice song.

Personally I think this decline in the quality of music harms us at a much deeper level. Music is what helps us understand and access our experiences in life. With the kind of superficial music taking hold, we suffer a loss of buddhi, of the ability to even understand ourselves.

IT is a loss of knowledge that is at stake here - a loss of culture...

You guys really wanna know how srgmp will affect us?
I had a similar topic like this, which once became a stickey. Saregamapa can create hatred and practically a war with India Vs India. The link below will explain it all:

Was watching HDDCS on ATN. What a movie!!! Hats Off to Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The magnificent sets, the music based story, the opulence. Ajay Devgan's character adds that soft little romance and rare sensitiveness to the film. But the soul of film remains its majestic music.Damn good lyrics, precise song picturisation. And ID, Completely true to the essence of the film and as per the situations. Great team work. I am falling in love with ID all over again......... 😳

wars😕shall we say disagreements😃 are good if constructive. And music raises passions. It is a direct connection to GOD. So we are not fans but fanatics. Valid points should always be respected and accepted😉

But the wrong attitude and bad behaviour should not😡

With all the passions, pettiness, politics and personal dramas that we were subjected to within last few weeks, can't help but wonder, what is going to be the outfall of all this? Personally speaking, are we really affected by who wins or who doesn't? No, we are not. But what will certainly affect us is the aftermath of all this. The contest will end shortly and we will all come to terms with it, but what will really affect us is the quality of music and film songs we get later on. Hence the following questions.

1. Inspite of superb singers like Kunal Ganjawala and Shaan, which suit his genre of music, will HR adamantly use only Vinit for all his future songs?😡

2. With the reported spat, will HR not use Shaan again?😡

3. Will ID never use Vinit even if wants to?😉

4. Will AS and HR never use Debo?🤢 Not that it matters, but just wondering…

5. Now that Hema is not associated with AS, will ID use him for his songs?😊

6. Inspite of their acknowledgement of Nihira's undisputed talent, will AS and HR not use Nihira?😛

7. After his comment, mein inko recording mein marks doonga, will ID use Nihira more often?😃

8. Will the film industry and big names really use these new talents instead of using the tried and tested ones?😕

9. On a personal note, if there are problems between Vinit and his girl, will HR play Agony Aunt?😉

10. Will GS repeat this circus with new contestants and mentors?😡

11. And more importantly, will the audience agree to be taken for another emotional ride, only to be left feeling heartbroken and shortchanged?😭

Can't answer each question individually but I will give my opinion. I don't think that mentor's ego in this competition will have much effect on their choice of singers in the real world. In the industry, economy is one of the main (if not the main) driving factors. so even if nihira was in ID's group and even though ID and AS were against each other, I don't think AS will mind using Nihira's voice (in fact, I think he already used). Same with Hema, Debo, Sharib, or other contestants. It's just a matter of whose voice suits which movie and how much profit it will generate.

I have mentioned this before more than once: Shreya, Sunidhi and Sonu are dominating a huge chunk of the industry now. So for the newcomers, it will be difficult to establish themselves initially. Luck has to be on their side at least initially because it's debatable that how much risk are the producers willing to take by giving break to new singers in high budget movies. if the movie is a hit, then the next break might not be as difficult. It's like getting your first job straight out of college.

As for your last question, I think the audience will forget this within a couple of days and wouldn't mind even if the next challege follows the same format.

😊

Friend17,
I do hope the few good singers we came to love thru SRGMP get a chance to prove thier mettle. By thier own mentors or by anybody else. We would love to hear all of them sing for big banners. So they should be given a fair chance. 😊
