It is quite interesting, as for so many days people are telling East zone is most biased but under this hue and cry facts have been suppressed. In the last elimination round.

North Zone(Vinit Zone)

Debo+Hema = 7.58 lakhs

Total & amp; nbsp; = 25.66

Percent = 29.54%

-----------------------------

East Zone(Debo Zone)

Hema+Vinit = 7.07 lakhs

Total & amp; nbsp; = 41.53

Percent   ; ; = 17.02%

---------------------------------
South Zone(Hema Zone)

Debo+Vinit = 3.19 lakhs

Total & amp; nbsp; = 20.28

Percent = 15.73%

------------------------------------

See people from which zone are most biased and have most reagional feeling. AS is really misleading whole India, he knows that people of India think from Heart not from mind.

these guys are not even good copycats! they've picked up a few concepts from the west, such as American Idol and have tried to cash in on those concepts. but in the process, they've not even copied well. do you see the hosts on American Idol declare how many votes came in from Wisconsin and how many from New Jersey? its the total population that voted that counts.

also, as has been pointed out umpteen times before, i know as a punjabi that we have punjabis all over india. a punjabi from mumbai voting for a punjabi- does that make it a "neutral" vote?

most folks never understand that u can pick up any statistic and present any case around it. for example, u can take a piece of economic statistic n create any spin around it. Which is why sometimes the market goes up on seemingly bad news n goes down on apparently ood news. There are so many ways of slicing n dicing, from looking at percentage/ absolute increases/ decreases, to other demographic factors (religion, educational background, economic status etc.). Ultimately, it's possible to make almost any case you want to.

but somehow, culturally, or perhaps because we think we are so good at math, we are tuned into thinking there is only one right answer. fact is most things in life, including music, is not about the right side of the brain. there r no clear answers. statistics also falls in that category. its an art form to an extent, and folks like shaan n others who dont really understand it, shld desist from showing their total ignorance n making a total fool of themselves.

they learn a few things and they think they have found nirvana. they shld know that they r too stupid to be original, n the best they can do is to just copy something in its entirety, not try to muck it up by introducing uninformed elements of their own creation. They r simply incapable of original thinking. You cannot even begin to be original if you think there is only one right answer. Even the entire concept of saregama can be found to have been "lifted" from the shows here from the 60s, 70s and 80s. Nothing wrong with it, as long as you understand what your limitations are in terms of being original...

i certainly dont expect folks like AS or Gajji to have the slightest clue as to some of these things. so maybe the correct course is to write them off as total buffoons.

The facts are that more people from the South have migrated to other parts of the country, than the other way around. Your numbers really don't prove much.

Or perhaps a lot of people actually see more talent in Hema than in Debo and Vinit that they have overcome regional biases in the North, East and West.

More plausible is SRGMP/Zee cooking up numbers. Remember, there is no independant auditing agency. We still don't know how the miracle tie of Hema and Nihira happened.

Still rem. that in democracy it doesn't matter what state is voting how much, the only thing is count as VOTE ( not who, what race, what religion, State, Cast, Last name and men or Women, the only thing count is only VOTE, if your thought are RIGHT than President of US must be removed 02/07/06, but the fact is that an INDIAN person voted for DB so you have to honor the voice of INDIAN people, unless EAST SIDE of India is not a part of the INDIA anymore.

Even Constitution of INDIA say that, as well as US Constitution ,and please do not challenge the these two democratic countries Constitution

is ASAM is part of INDIA!!! yes.. then that's it

fm_qazi, 15.73% means people in South have shown lot of tolerance towards Vinit's singing...Despite the fact that not many actually bother to watch Zee, thanks to better and honest singing competitions held in Sun/Asianet/Surya and hazaar other channels out there..
But its so cute that you buy Gajji's statistics...

It can be also the reason people who moved from South to Norht voted for Hema... So forget about assumption and see the reality...

That is why I tried to show, and slapped those people who accuses Debo and people from east being biased. We should respect the public verdict from all over India not only from West.

It is rediculus people point out that in south Saregama is not popular, If it is not popular in South so how can 20 lakhs votes have been voted from only 4 states(even TN and Kerala share is very negligible) and in North India it is polled 25 lakhs from 8 states. Difference is only 5 lakhs. Even Tabu was also pointing that in south people do not watch SRGMP that much. It looks like people just want to give trophy to Hema at any cost. Open your eyes guys, and come to reality. Do not mislead innocent people.

You only repeated what I said. The people who moved from the South could be voting for him from the east, north and west zones.

Your calculation is only valid if all three contestants have equal talent. Hema, in most experts eyes has more talent than the other two. That could also be a big reason why people in the east, west and north overcame their regional bias.
