i also agree that as did not behave sportingly in the episode of hemas elimination
even if the neutral zones r taken into account then also hema has lost to both vinit &debo in voting
hema was almost 14 lakh votes behind vinit
thats a large figure
but i am sure hema will get all the sucess he deserves

GO CHECK out the Hemu fan club sites. You'll find from the names there as to how "widespread" and "neutral" hemu's vote base was. Anyone care to explain??? Why the hypocrisy? Its wrong for debo to have strong supporters, but it is OK for other contestants to have tat?

If its not wrong for most of hemu's supporters even in this forum to be from the south (check out the names on his fan club sites), why is it wrong for debo to have support from his home zone? Anyone care to explain???

And VS supporters, when was the last time folks from ur region elected a PM from the south. And vice versa? What was happening then if not regional voting?

It wouldnt have been a problem if each one voted once only. what is the population of assam and how many of them has fone connections?

if u get so many votes, one naturally tends to get a doubt, what is driving those people to vote so madly.

1. Is it because they love his singing very very much? if so, y not rest of India?

2. Do Eastern part of India thinks that they r being sidelined from mainstream activities?

There must be some strong reason behind it. otherwise, y would one earning 5k will spend 2k on sms?

y did George Bush's supporters turn out in larger numbers than Kerry's? Fact is democrats slightly outnumber republicans in the U.S. But in spite of that, we've had republican presidents in this country 4 the most part.

Boss, it really comes down to whose supporters r more motivated. Always has, always will be. And that is part n parcel of democracy. The alternative u see in the padosi mulk were power is vested in the hands of a few.

n after so many attempts, u still do not get the point that UP-types r all over India, but Assamese folks r not? a Punjabi voting from the south for Vinit is a "southern" zone vote? how do u know that that punjabi from the south has not voted multiple times for Vinit?

pramod_10 ji,

First of all, East Zone could comprise of all the states of NE India/West Bengal/Orissa.
Regarding the "number of phones" in Assam (or do you mean East Zone), a week's trip there would surely change your opinion...

I definitely do agree with you on this point though - that there should have been one vote per phone number...
But then no internet voting either, maybe?
